perfect sailing conditions on the Chesapeake Bay. True wind in the mid teens and good sea state. Even the temperature was perfect. Doesn't get better.... unless it could be longer.
And of course, the threat of afternoon thunderstorms and rain.
On this day, there were several distress calls on channel 16. One was close to us. A sailboat with 3 people overboard. Fortunately, they were all safely recovered.
