m/aux Swanhild is a three-masted topsail schooner. She was build as a cargo vessel in 1947 and was later converted into a cruising vessel. Svanhild, like many of her sister ships, is available for charter and tours in Helsinki and the Gulf of Finland.
In this video we'll take a look at sailing Svanhild. The video was shot during a two-day cruise from Helsinki to Tammisaari in light weather. Find out how the sails are handled and how berthing maneuvers are done both when tying up to just the shore of an island as well as a quay.
