Sailing further south. Time to leave Guadeloupe and explore Dominica.
We reported our entry in Portsmouth. It rained on and off during the sailing journey from Guadeloupe, and it continued when we dropped the anchor. It continued pretty much till the next morning so all we did in Portsmouth was to clear customs and immigration. We moved to Roseau in the morning.
We moved to an anchorage area passed the centre of Roseau. We ended up grabbing one of the mooring ball available. After having lunch on Mirtillo, we went out to explore the town. We learned that the carnival was happening the following day for 3 days so everything was to be closed. Good we found out because we had some grocery and laundry to do.
The next day, we decided to go to Trafalgar Falls. To get there, we were going to take a bus. Got to the "bus stop" to go to Trafalgar Falls, but the area was closed for the carnival. People told us that if we walked a little further out of town, we would be able to catch a bus, so we did. We weren't sure when a bus would show up knowing it was a carnival time, Martin decided to hitch hike. Kind people stopped almost instantly who dropped us off where we had to split. Still a long way to the falls so we took a taxi ride. It was an adventure of its own to get there. After the falls (fantastic- we recommend you go if you are in Roseau area. There were so many people from cruise ship), we decided to walk to another tourist attraction, Sulfur Spring. It took us about 30 min walk and we enjoyed seeing the nature so much. After all, Dominica is called the Nature Island of Caribbeans! Although we enjoyed seeing the hot spring, what ended up happening on the way return was even more exciting. Watch the episode and you will find out.
The next day, we decided to take a bus to go to Soufriere, which is located in the south part of the island. We wanted to stop there by Mirtillo on the way to Martinique, but the area is very well protected so there is no mooring or anchoring.... Again, we enjoyed doing sightseeing but getting to the destination was even more enjoyable.
We read and heard that people in Dominica are so kind and we experienced that during our stay. We enjoyed our short visit to Dominica and we hope you enjoyed our first footages from drone. It was Martin's first time to operate the drone so it is nice and short, but there will be more so stay tuned!

This was the first time that I noticed the bird's eye views. How long does it take to learn how to control the drone so smoothly? A good tool for inspecting the sails from top to bottom. Next time, you may want to lower the volume of the music, or skip it, when Martin is speaking. The percussions tend to drown out his voice.

Thank you for your encouraging and constructive comments. Drone is Martin's new hobby. It took him a few practices and you will see more footages in the future videos (amazing sceneries!)..., and yes, he has already used drone to check the top of the mast. It is a great tool. About the volume- agreed and well noted.
