Do you guys not have jacklines to clip into? If you are planning on sailing around the world, I would really recommend you put some on your boat. When you sail down from Vanuatu to New Zealand, you will be rocking and rolling the whole way and need to be clipped in.
Awesome thanks! A reef, or reefing is just a way sailors can lower a portion of their sails and reduce the whole sail area for conditions where winds have increased- cheers!
Fantastic coordination entering the Atoll. My wife I just returned from Rangiroa, just a few Atolls to the west. Just next to Rangiroa is Tikehau which Jacques Cousteau said contains the most diverse marine life in all of French Polynesia! Really enjoy watching your channel. One of the BEST on RU-vid!
Raroia (pronounced as if it were Spanish language) is a somewhat famous atoll: the Norwegian adventurer and anthropologist Thor Heyerdahl arrived at this atoll after crossing the Pacific on a raft from South America (he wrote a book). Nearby is the Amanu atoll, in which several very old cannons were found, which are believed to be those of a caravel that sank in that atoll, about 1530, manned by Spaniards (Galician) and Dutch, who are believed to have survived and seeded the area with blonde haired Polinesians
Well done guys, you are just the best of the best , u r an unbeatable team , god bless you all and many thanks for the beautiful vids you are sharing with us. love from Zürich
Wow, great passage, those dolphins hanging out with you and guiding you through the pass. Soooo Coool. Look forward to your next adventure and dives, hopefully! Have come to absolutely Love your channel!!
Awesome video and encounter with the locals. One of the reasons I watch your channel, Erica is a magnet for sea life encounters. Jac Cousteau would have loved her.
Great video again dears. Nice to see how our FP cats can go around the world (unfortunately mine is all the time at the morning place…), but I project your adventures on me 😅 ❤
Wow! I can’t get the dolphins out of my mind. That was the most amazing and beautiful blessing. Honestly all Dolphins 🐬 love you guys. So excited for the next videos….. PeaceAndLove Lori
Another brilliant video guys. Love the actual sailing content, and when you think you guys can’t get any better footage, you have a dolphin scratching bits back on your bow!!!😂. Loving your dolphin escort into the lagoon. Keep the wonderful content coming . Thanks
Had to save the entry while I made a coffee, then back to it. Felt like I was there, I didn’t want to miss anything. Wondered where your Sis was at the start, but I see she turned up for a coffee. 😁
Awesome video, great navigating using all the tools at hand. Warren you definitely avoided a scolding because of the lack of jackets while on deck. Would still like to see a harness in use.
.... Mum nature's creatures sure do find you and in turn amaze all of us ... sounds like quite the current in and out of that a-toll .... a little something to get the adrenaline going with the anticipation ... and Erica, your comment "glad we have the tools to do this" that is so true, there are the old salts that poo-poo the electronics, I would be one to also have it all in the navigation department. That being said I would also learn how to use a sextant and plot on paper in advent there is truth to a solar flare being able to knock out electronics. I don't know anything about it but would also be something fun to learn on passages. .... catching up, get this you bikini and board short wearers, off on a snow day till the road crews get the roads sorted in the bush. ..thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans .....
So I'm watching going through the passage into the Atol. The sister is on the bow, Erica has the camera and microphone, Warren is driving the boat. Who's flying the drone? haha...I suppose Erica didn't always have the camera in her hand. Or is it as simple as sending it up high and telling it to "follow me"
OK won't comment on the safety vests - but I believe the safety line issue is still open - so I will open the discussion for YT watchers - let the pile on begin - have fun and stay safe - years ago we helped a cat doing 7-8 knots under bare poles in a storm with big following seas off shark bay Western Australia - so much windage - they called for help and we guided them into the lee of dirk hartog island by radio - it scared the bejesus out of them - maybe a sea anchor and sheets astern might have helped
