St. Blaise is one of the most popular and one of the least known saints in the Church. Millions of Christians come to church around February 3nd to receive his blessing.
He is invoked for numerous diseases - against sore throats, against coughs and colds, bleeding, ulcers, toothaches, childhood diseases, plague, Corona; against storm and wild animals. He is the patron saint of doctors, wind musicians, tailors, bakers, millers, bricklayers, night watchmen and the patron saint of domestic animals and horses.
