Evertonians are born not manufactured. We did not choose. We were chosen. Those who understand need no explanation. Those who do not understand do not matter. It is indeed an honour, a great, great honour That has been bestowed upon us.
Now saint domingos was our name The founders of the greatest game When we had our pitch on Stanley park In season 1891 The toffees history had begun We beat them all and the football league was won Let’s look at 1925 We signed greatest man alive Dixie Dean he came from Birkenhead A god like man it has been said With 60 goals he knocked them dead You think that’s good? Most were from head and they gave us Dixie Lawton Alex young and Kay They gave us Harvey Howard Kendall Alan ball Xabi and grey And the most of the football greats Have passed through goodisons gates To play football The school of science way In 66 in London Town The toffee men were 2-0 down Had to learn his doe? So Gaby westy on the ball They faught and brought that cup home With temple 1 and 2 from trevcal Rowe I give up
@@TheLuigi69 rangers are utter tory orange pondscum. celtic are slightly less scummy but still an utter riddy and have a kopite spoilt child mentality. neither should latch themselves onto everton. so many more respectable clubs in scotland, should go for hibs or hearts if you’re that way inclined, least they go the game. old firm fans season tickets are their telly remotes
Been watching football since the seventies and Southalls the best I have ever seen. That save from Mark Falco in 84 at Tottenham was the best I have ever seen. And no I’m not a toffee either.
Oh wait a minute...what song did you rip off Liverpool ?? You never used to sing WALK ON in the 80s when I went to watch the mighty Jambos silencing the Jungle, so stop sprouting nonsense.
my first Ever visit to Goodison was February 1967 they played West Ham. 7 months earlier England had won the World cup at Wembley but i couldn't believe i was watching five of the England winning team here on the pitch at Goodison in front of my eyes, i was only 12.anyone care to name them 5 players for a bonus point...?
Big Bob was my first REAL hero too. I have many others. ..as you said ? ..some shit just don't rhyme good enough for a song. ...give peace a chance ? ..Lennon mentioned 'Hare Krishna' ..when we all knew the words were 'Harry Catterick'. :-) x
@123adam321mcnally123 9 league titles. We've spent 125 years in the top flight. The Cup Winners Cup and various other trophies. Our reserves could win the scottish league. You've only won 1 trophy that means anything in 1967.
Lol..I support Celtic and Everton! But everybody takes songs! I dunno what half of ya's are on about anyway! You'll never walk alone..? First United sang it, then Liverpool and now Celtic! Ya's cant argue that you aint ever stole plenty of songs from Scousers yourselves...
whats rong with a group of fellas writing and singin a song about something that plays a major part in their life. so what if its already been done before, how did they know it was a celtic song anyway, i always fort it was a copy of the match stick men song.
let's be honest, the scottish league isn't very good. if rangers and celtic were moved into the premier league, would they even survive relegation? i think they would struggle personally. also wasn't everton founded before celtic? so doesn't that mean celtic ripped everton off to begin with? either way both sides are big clubs and doing alright. especially everton atm, could see them doing sumthin special next year wen they have their whole team available. no point arguing they are both good.
@123adam321mcnally123 who has money? there's only 3 teams in english football with money, yeah you can play with heart your shit and you are just going to keep getting shitter there's 2 big teams in scotland celtic and celtic reserves
just to let you now it was charly and the bhoys who basicly made this its called willie maley and its a celtic song you put in your own words so fair enoth
YNWA is debatable.....are you for real? I don't often back LFC as I am obviously first and foremost an Evertonian, but having lived in Edinburgh and seen Celtic many times in the 80's, YNWA was never sung back then. Anyway, I'm about to board a train to Lisbon to watch some real football, lets hope we perform like Jinky did in 67 eh!!
..we got in touch with Charlie and the Bhoys. Also Brian and Michael (the originals). We had their blessing. The idea ? ..came from me asking a Celtic mate the words to 'The Willy Mailey Song' ..he refused to give me them. Because he knew what I was going to do. LFC claimed 'Athenry' (as they claim everything, including Captain Tom). I just needed to claim this. So I did. Raised a few quid for a kid and his family that needed it. Had a ball recording it. Good times. UTFT !! xx one love xx
I went to Celtic Park plenty in the 80's. Link me some footage of YNWA sung at Celtic Park in the 80's. You can't can you because it never happened. I think your still gutted that we snatched John Colquhoun off you for 50 grand.
We dont live in the 80's not for a long , long time. I think you will find both Everton & Liverpool fans that follow both Old Firm clubs if they follow Scottish football at all now a day's that is. Like Glasgow Liverpool as a city has been shaped buy Immigration from both The Republic of Ireland & Ulster but it is not intertwined with football in Liverpool in as it is in Glasgow it just did not shape Liverpool in that way unlike Glasgow & even Edinburgh to a lesser extent. Both clubs started from The Methodist church & if you like it or not that is a fact & The Methodist Church is a branch of The Prodestent faith we also know John Holden was an member of The Orange Order but this dose not havevany influence on the modern day. You are trying so create division whare there is none at all. Like it or not since The late 90's both Celtic & Liverpool fans have sung Y.N.W.A. But then again both Everton & Celtic also sing It's a Grand old team to play for all be it in very different versions of the same song. Me personally I am an Ulster-scot & was always a fan of Duncan Ferguson growing up for me it was always about the fact that Both Merseyside clubs would give Scottish players a chance down South so as long as Everton have that Duncan Ferguson connection I will want Everton to win against Liverpool. Dose it always have to come down to religion for you ?. Can it not just be about football ?. Ether way Keep Safe during The Pandemic. I wish you no harm at all in anyway. Personally not that bothered about football within Scotland now a days it's as dull as ditch water.
@123adam321mcnally123 What type of argument is that you lost to Sion last night and the only way you can get through is if they get disqualified tells you everything really. Everton would win the league every year. You have a huge number of supporters thats the only thing that makes you a big club.
