A location I knew about, but always decided against due to the area it's in. One day a group of us went and well what could go wrong? To our surprise nothing actually, but we found what we were looking for and made it out.

St. E is definitely not in the safest part of DC… LOL. The people use to escape from time to time in the 80s. My mom told many stories about it.

Had a family member who was there from 1890 to 1932. Can't even fathom what he must have went through for 40 years. Essentially was a prison sentence. Mentally and physically. He was discharged from the Army and institutionalized. I suspect Schizo because his mother also was institutionalized. We've come a long way in most aspects of mental health, thankfully.

I can not even imagine. Have to wonder how many people were wrongly diagnosed.. always thought about that because I've had my struggles with mental health, as have most. At one point in time could have been enough to end me up in a place like this 😬

I worked there in the last Reagan year. My job was unique and not medical, so I won't get into that, but my colleagues and I would be ushered through The Center Building a couple of times a week, simply due to expediency. NO ONE enjoyed those walks. The security guards even disliked them. It wasn't just sounds and echoes of deterioration you could hear from upstairs, it was flat-out footsteps. Yet there were heavy chains across the area, preventing us from going up there. The narrative about how Freddy Kreuger was born was based on that place, according to Craven, and I was already into that in the early 80's, so I wasn't having fun.

Thanks! It was definitely past its prime for exploring, but at the same time that's probably for the best because it's in such a bad area..

I wonder how much of this building is buried underground? At the 5:43 mark of the video you can see half of the windows are buried under the ground. Mud flood building . There is definitely something unique about this location and this building. I think that there’s an energy line running underneath it. You can feel the energy emanating from it and it gives you a strange sensation. There is no accident that the government was interested in keeping this building for this purpose. I think they were doing a lot of early MK ultra experiments on people for the government. A lot of these people that were originally locked up in these insane asylums were people who would not go along with the reset. These buildings were not built as insane asylum. They were founded. Which means they were taken through an escheatment process. British did it to pre colonial America and turned all these places into federal buildings. They built golf courses and parks over special areas and then commemorated them so they could never be disturbed. I also find it interesting that they have an iron fence around this building. You know they keep iron fences around old cemeteries. I think it’s trying to contain some type of magnetic energy. And the guy that was collecting the rocks was right those are all mud flood mud fossils. Those are fossilized human remains. Some of those lakes up there are full of giants. Look at mud fossil University. I have a fossilized heart and two finger bones that I took from a creek in North Carolina. There are fossilize human remains it look like river rocks everywhere up there. Once you see it you can see it!

Haha you could try.. unlikely anything is left though to be honest. Building is literally crumbling under its own weight. That's interesting though, best of luck 🤟

Eerie in sort of a beautiful way. You got some really good shots. Quite an impressive place. Unbelievable all that biohazard waste is still in the lab on the floor. That’s our wonderful government looking out for its citizens. Thanks for Sharing
