I bought the burgundy Loulou after your unboxing and I absolutely love it. I have the grey college in the medium and I agree with your comparisons. The loulou in the burgundy is definitely more luxurious looking; to be used for fancier occasions but the grey college has a bit of an edgy feel with the gunmetal hardware. BOTH amazing bags

I notice the volume of your videos lately is really low. I turn the volume of my iPad on at the highest & I can’t really hear you especially when I’m doing something else in the background while watching your videos.
I personally prefer the College, and am even considering one in Navy. The structure and leather seem to be better quality, and it also has a more unique design. However, that burgundy of the LouLou is beautiful.
Great review! I prefer the college and am wanting to add the smaller size in a grey with the gunmetal hardware. To me, it’s like a leather version of the pochette metis, but without the defects. The Lou Lou resembles a pillow cushion on a chain, but I have to say the mini version is adorable.

I just purchased a medium LouLou in Black with black chain. I'm a sucker for black hardware. I also have a black Chanel Chevron So Black Jumbo. And a black Large YSL college bag with Silver hardware.
I now like the College more than the LouLou. I like the structure and the formality of the College, perhaps I own too many slouchy bags and need a change, but the College seems a bit more sophisticated in my opinion.
I recently got the medium college and I love it. The leather is so nice and looks like it'll hold up well. My only issue is I wish the chain was adjustable.
I have the Lou Lou and definitely prefer it over the college as I love the soft puffy leather and the chain is amazing. The college looks basic and like a briefcase to me. It doesn’t hold enough for me, and the chain is way too short and not adjustable....nice bag if that’s your style but it’s definitely not mine...
Monday’s are ALWAYS better with Elle! I think I would choose the College in the smaller size, simply because it isn’t as small as the small LouLou, even though I think I prefer the style of the LouLou! You look beautiful! 💗💗💗
I would also chose the Lou Lou! I think what makes that bag stand out is the colour. It is an elevated handbag because it's more beautiful than your standard black or brown bag!
I personally love the College and am considering it however I am scared that the style will go out of style quickly. In your opinion, do you think this style is classic or more trendy and won't hold up in say 5 years time?
They are both beautiful bags. I prefer the collage because it looks more structured and put together. But I wouldn't buy one because the strap isn't long enough to wear cross body. I have a bad shoulder so wearing a bag of that size on one shoulder is never going to happen. Pity, because it's so beautiful but that lack of a cross body strap is a show stopper for me.
😢😢😢 I have said goodbye to my beloved college. I adored it. Bought it in July 2017 and had issues with it a few months later. Didn’t go back to the boutique until October 2018. They sent it back to Italy. The main issue was the quality of the leather. I got a new bag and less than three months later even worse. Horrible quality. Took her back again little over a week ago and awaiting a reply from customer service. I’ll probably get store credit and I won’t repurchase the college again. I am kind of done after the complaints I’ve had. I’ll get something else this time.
J Mac real shame right. It’s strange. Should be two different batches I think. One I got in July 2017 and the new one in October 2018. Both bad quality.
i love the college, but the noise the lou lou's chain makes when it's going through the eyelets is super satisfying in my opinion. would probably play around the chain all day 😅

Great comparison, Elle! I think my next bag is going to be the Lou Lou in turquoise with silver hardware. I’ve only seen it at Neimans in that combination and haven’t been able to get it out of my mind. I love the college but at 5’1 I’m not a fan of the drop. Thanks for the great video :-)

They are both lovely 😊 I have the LouLou backpack... in black and I LOVE it. I wanted a casual bag and it’s perfect. I will say that the wrinkling you mentioned - I noticed the same thing on my bag in about the same place - near the snap and logo. It’s not a big deal ... it doesn’t change the line/look of the bag ... it’s just there. I’m very impressed with YSL. Great video Elle. 😊
Great video! I have commented on the de-puffing of the LouLou in a previous video only because mine has remained firm and I agree that it adds to her charm. YSL make divine handbags and you should totally buy the small nude with gold hardware next, so chic and lovely on your feminine frame. I really love the burgundy/ maroon color of YSL but never pull a trigger yet because I'm not sure it will be more suitable for only fall/winter time? What is your experience? Do you find it difficult to wear in spring/summer?
