I had some simplified versions of the Finale and Elephant parts in my classical piano book, so I came looking on youtube for the whole thing. Viola! I found it! Thank you for having this!
Yes - well-played 4-hand piano music performances can be mesmerizing. Of course, the composition must be good. If these two ladies suddenly switched over to, say, Glass - or Reich - I imagine the applause would stop and the soft chirping of crickets would emanate from the seats. :-)
Beautiful playing on a beautiful piano, but not a good arrangement at all. Very limiting. You should have used the two piano arrangement. Very technical and beautiful playing. Also missing those wonderful scales at the very beginning.
+Mark Harman ,Thank you for your message! Yes, we played those pieces also with two pianos & Orchestra. But in that hall of recording, there was only one piano! That is why we played on one piano;)
