Loved the performance, esp. the tempos. In the various recordings on RU-vid, there are drastically different tempos in a number of places. You seem to pick the perfect one for each section of the piece. There are also beautiful nuances and diminuendos that others overlook. First rate.
I _just_ played the second movement for a contest and got Best of Day!!! I’m an 8th grader... it was tough, but I guess I played it well enough that it was the judge’s favorite! PS... I LOVE his clarinet
es maravilloso ese sonido, perfecto para esa obra pero, no te parece que en ningún momento deja de sacar aire por los laterales. eso no me gusta, me distrae mucho :"(
This is the audition piece for a high school honors band I'm going to try out for (Currently a freshman) and It's been stuck in my head for the past 5 months. I have to be able to play movements I, II, and IV except the part in IV where it goes up to a super high A (around 14:56). Thank you for this awesome performance; I've listened to it many times and it's helped me understand how quite a few parts of the song are supposed to play out.
A little update, sadly I didn't get in. I didn't really expect to, to be honest, as I'm a freshman trying out against 60 other sophomores/juniors/seniors for ~30 spots. I screwed up in the scale-ish parts near the beginning of movement II. Anyway, thanks for uploading this, and have a nice night.
Excellent performance and recording! Just like with some of your other pieces, such as Finzi's Bagatelles, you inspire me to practice my clarinet. Your virtuosity gives me a target to aim for...maybe impossible, but at least fun trying. Thanks.
I'm also a pianist and an accordionist! So was thinking of visiting Italy soon. But I'm a great thinker... (( I play a Buffet C12. Was playing it today. I promise to look at the website.
Sarebbe bello lavorare sul suono in posti tecnicamente più complessi. Lì si perde una piccola colorazione nobile. In tutti gli altri aspetti, il livello è molto buono. Bello da ascoltare.
