I've been using Campingcar park sites for about 12 months now,Keith,there are now 190 Aires all over France,99% of the ones I've used have been clean and tidy in some great scenery.Once you get used to card entry system access is simple and card top up easy,hope you enjoyed your visit and thanks for your videos.What a shame uk rarely provides such facilities for us motorhomers.best regards Paulo👍
The 'lifetime' Card at €4 is easy to get and use. It allows you on to the Aire but unless you have enough Credit on it won't let you out until you've topped it up to at least the amount you need to pay. You need to check the credit before leaving the Aire or the topping up process (possibly in the dark early morning, freezing cold or inclement weather) could be an inconvenience - especially with your Motorhome parked up against the barrier and others behind waiting to go out. I still manage to use free Aires most of the time as we don't usually need hook up or facilities overnight so these Aires are useful for others but not too important to me.
I like to preplan some Aires,especially in the winter,Keith,so use these accordingly and keep card topped up at 50euros.I find them useful as they are open all year,and ehh saves a bit of gas in the winter.Still use a lot of free Aires,though,and your videos are a great help,safe and happy travels
