I now understand why people hate the new saints row. I came in at saints row 3 so I didn’t understand why people were mad but now after seeing the flavor and humor of the past games what happened?
Saints Row 1 and 2 were first designed to compete against GTA. Learning that was a losing battle they changed it to something that they are now. Saints Row 3 and up is their own self. I liked the more real SR and the crazy ST
3 Star Perfect Deer There is room for more than one gang/crime shooting related game. The company really fucked up the series by going over the top with the wackiness.
3 Star Perfect Deer First and fore most, Saints row is not like gta in the sense it’s gang related. The only game from GTA that actually has you involved with a gang is san andreas, in reality You’re just a hitman in gta doing whacky objectives to kill someone. They both fall in the category of open world and sandbox. Saints row took what san andreas tried to start (the whole gang thing. Recruiting people to roll with you, taking over locations etc) and expanded on it. Saints row is a gangster based game like mafia, where you come up and advance in levels. Gta it seems like your always hunting someone down hence the hitman reference i said. (gta 3, you’re tryna get revenge on your gf who tried to kill you. Vice city, you go after sonny for taking 15 years of your life away. San andreas, you go after ryder and Big Smoke. 4, you need to get clarity) See that’s why the games aren’t so similar. Yes they are both open world, and sandbox but 2 different objectives
I wonder if Lin would've stayed loyal to the Saints like Johnny if she would've lived, or if she would've joined one of the other gangs like the Brotherhood or Ronin.
She would’ve been loyal and Donnie would’ve been a 3rd street Saint and the Saints would’ve had bad ass tuner cars for the row Johnny would’ve been like “ay yo Donnie you think you could hook me up with a badass murder vehicle with some nos blast threw buildings and shit” lol 😂 idk if that would he say but close and Donnie be like “no problem Johnny” Lin be like “boyz” lol
momurderah what you talking about sr2 wasn’t ridiculous it was just like sr1 just better cutscenes like the ronin shootout at Johnny’s house and player actually fucking talked
nah...they were more about Street racing and shit talking...thats something i can respect out of them...but never think they wont hesitate to pull glocks out if shit gets real, and when the saints come marchin...shits gettin real!!
@@demontorch Yeah, for all of what the creators did. I highly doubt that they would put that especially in their first game. Plus, I imagine that would be still talked about and it definitely would have been mentioned in game.
I'm glad the aliens have a time machine, now let's bring back Carlos, Aisha and Oleg. I didn't have the console so never played Sanits Row before the second game, but it would be stupid to not bring Lin back.
Even tho i beat this game a couple times i still like watchin thr cutscenes. This really could have been a movie too compared to other bullshit they put out.
@@Cl4udio92 Big Smoke was at least hiding in the kitchen so it made much more sense than the mook in that cutscene appearing out of nowhere to KO Playa.
Good question. Here’s why: The Protagonist in SR1 is a lot less of a leader and more of a follower or errand boy and since Lin out ranked him he couldn’t make that kind of move. He’d need permission from Julius to do something that big. Even Johnny as crazy as he is, still asked for Julius for permission to attack and attempt to kill Tanya. As for the thing with Tanya, Adrenaline rushing and just escaping being kidnapped and probably killed played a factor in why the protagonist simply hit tanya and ran. Big Tony overpowered Johnny easily because of his leg and he was still close enough to his shotgun to reach and shoot back should the Player try and pick up the gun to shoot. Hope i answered this well enough for you.
@@hotboxyay9029 good points. But if I recall correctly, Tony didn't overpower Johnny until after Boss jumped out of the window so he could've had time to kill Tony. But as you stated, adrenaline and survival can overpower our thoughts when fleeing from danger.
Kinda wish they had racing in the 3rd and 4th bc ima huge crazy racer i love shooting at cars in game just to make them drive faster so i can at least feel like they're racing me so sad it never made it into either of the 2 games
well Julius wasn't meant to betray you and it was meant to be a cliffhanger on who killed the Playa. the next game would've followed Julius and Ben King during the early days of the vice kings.
Breaking up is hard to do... I got pissed at this mission so kept playing over until, I got good enough at the mission, I basically went kamikaze and had Never Die cheat on so it worked out, I drove onto the bridge and then drove off falling onto Sharp and well... boom
@@maadaawg2914 No, you spit nonsense while also showing yourself as rude, uneducated smut. Saying facts does not require swearing, last time I checked. So unless you have nothing better to do with your life than talk shit to a stranger about a game vid, I suggest you stop responding to this. Not you finest hour writing that stuff.
i wonder if Lin survived her gunshot if she would of asked Donnie out...maybe even bring him into the saints after Price and the rollerz are wiped off the map
I think the rollerz are more of a street racing crew the Carnales has ties to the Colombian cartels since they act as distributors of drugs on behalf of the cartel i think?
I don't know if you're familiar with Saints Row 2 but he's even worse in that (I was having a discussion during TheProfessional's SR2 LP about this and I had to agree with someone who commented that Donnie really doesn't have the right temperament to be in a gang).
@@rasheemthebestfirstone3274 - bc i got frustrated and i don’t believe a game is fun if you’re getting frustrated rather than feeling happy and laughing
