They "look" more professional, so our minds are programmed to trust them more than modders or indy developers. It's just like how we majority-wise don't grow our own food and rely on stores to have everything we need. But we need to change this bad habit of ours.

They are so disconnected with their fanbase. You can tell the people working on it would get killed or robbed if they took the wrong turn in a medium size city. And they are seeing themselves in the characters instead of actual badasses.

The only thing that really has me upset is the hipster friends other than that this could be a good fresh start but it’s a really bad way to start off the boss and the other characters didn’t have to start off as heartless gangsters but they definitely did not need to start off as whiny teenagers, I’ve excepted today that saints row will never be the same and all we can do is continue to give them our criticism but also keep an open mind until we played the game. Best believe if this doesn’t meet my standards I will take it right back to game stop and get my money back.

So basically this is GTA V/Watch Dogs 2 2.0😂, but anyway the world looks good to me and I don't mind having a map something like GTA V. Sometimes you just want to take a drive out the city. Hope there's a lot of things to do in the game or it will get boring really quick
Here's a better Saints Row reboot idea that I'm sure most of you may agree with: Gonna be a wall of text, but two major areas are gonna be the Saints themselves, and the other gangs themselves. Both of which are more to reflect in the area this game is taking place in, to be aesthetically fitting The new Saints. Since this is a reboot of the original, and the new city is based on Austin, Texas, which is pretty close to Mexico, the new Saints could've easily reflected on that. It's not because my family is Mexican on my mom's side, but it is mainly because churches and Christianity do run deep in most Mexican families. Not saying your character has to be Mexican, but as a sort of reflection to the very original game, the main gang hideout should be in a Mexican cathedral. And as a sort of reflection of the first, your character is new, but not because your character was saved by the leader, but maybe because a close family member was in the gang, perhaps gone missing, and you've joined as a way to find them. This is just me spitballing on what they could've done, but it's a Helluva lot better than being college students joining and committing crimes as a way to pay off student loans. Now the other gangs. First thing's first, we'll keep those huge guys in orange, since they do look like badass bikers and truck enthusiasts. I have no complaints about them at all, and a lot of other folks don't. For those Daft Punk/Deadmau5 rejects... they just read "Watch_Dog 2 rejects", but a simple change can easily make them fit more. Instead of those stupid helmets, they can change to be themed around Dios Los Muertos (The day of the dead), so they can still have the bright colors, but now look more like Skeletons and, again, will be more aesthetically pleasing in this city, especially since they're supposed to be anarchists. The last group definitely needs to be like, well, an actual gang, and not some private security team. The leader wore a classic cowboy hat, so I figured this gang could be more decked out to be like cowboys/banditos. Of course,the change could be in their story, where they do run casinos, but also run the black market underneath the public eye, making them the smarter gang from the other 2. What do you think? Think this sounds like a much better Saints Row reboot? I can't really tell much of the story, but these changes could also change the entire plot(s) where the saints do feel like a gang, but also family instead of a group of hipsters trying to look cool

I have a Theory it's a stretch but hear me out: They are plugging the voice actress ALOT so she can be the fall guy. Since she's the face of the game, what ever bs they do can fall back on her. And they can make money in claiming bigotry or some shit.
The Dex saga ended after Saints Row 2 And we will never get it back :/ I hope The sales on this goes so down, so they have no choice But to remake Saints Row 2. But sadly i’m just dreaming :/ it’s over , and i’m still hurt . But gonna buy this anyway

Thank god I’m not the only one that realized they copied Cyberpunk damn near to a T. The factions are the same and you start in a desert just like Cyberpunk. Come on Volition you fucked us all over with this one.
Gameplay looks fun, story is largely unknown but I don't hate the concept. This seems comparable to SR3 and I liked SR3 (yes I am also a OG and played SR1 and SR2). I'm fine with a Fast & Furious style action game. As long as it's not SR4 or Gat Out Of Hell. I hated those two games, they went to over the top with destruction of Earth, time travel, super powers and all that. I'm fine with that stuff in a Mortal Kombat, DC or Marvel game, but not in a crime game. If your a diehard OG that won't accept anything past SR2, then this game won't appeal to you. Personally I'm happy with even SR3 style. As long as it doesn't go into SR4 territory. If I start seeing that shit, I'm out.

Like customization and changing how districts look and layered clothing like socks. I'm not completely sold on the characters maybe in the story hopefully they change my mind idk.
Cheena: she is loyal to her family which are the saints kind of like johnny gat how he is loyal to you in SR2,SR4. Steve Erchul: he is planning out the future of the saints kind of like Julius or the boss in saints row 2. Kev: he likes to cook bro pierce is a way better character than this guy.

All they had to do, if they wanted a Great Saints Row Game is Reboot it. Just make it more realistic, make more realistic gangsters like back in the 1st and 2nd Games. They could’ve added more characters without getting rid of the old cast. They could’ve had us play as our created character who first attacks the saints than join them later. They could’ve changed the plot of the story so we couldn’t guess what would happen. But instead they changed the most important parts of the game. The setting, the characters. If I don’t see Shaundi, Kinzie, Johnny, Dex, Julius and Lin. I won’t be happy, they should atleast have them voice another character or something
Neena (as of now) is the ONLY likable protagonist. Would've preferred HER to be the "Female Boss" and replace the other 3 characters with way better looking one.

Volition don't have source codes to remaster 1 & 2. It was either a reboot or a continuation of 4/Gat Out of Hell, we all know y'all still complain if they made a continuation
