I didn't just prefer the map in SR2, but I also liked the variation in the pedestrians. I feel that made it feel more alive. I did feel that in 2 the vehicles didn't really have weight- when you're in an apc, you shouldn't have a tiny car(ronin) lift your apc up by driving underneath the back of it. Their car should bounce off with lots of damage instead. Pretty much the only thing I didn't like about 2.
When it comes to cheats im actually gonna disagree the Reboots cheats are definetly the weakest you cant even save cheats and have it turn off achievements you also cant just unlock all weapons via cheats
Saints row 3 made me glad I started with Saints Row 1 when I was 14. Steelport sucks the cars were okay and the Story while entertaining at some parts were so half assed it was my least favorite game until Sr22 released. It also started the missions being by phone and I hate it so much
I’m glad I got to hear about this game from another perspective properly. I’ve started out with SR3 also but till now the main thing I favored about the game was combat mechanics and gameplay. You helped me remember that the scenery was very depressing and remasters’s color customization annoyed me to since I couldn’t get a good shade of red (I like dark red). The reboot combat annoyed me because “why do NPCs have literal invulnerability frames, like why????” But its customization is peak. I could never understand how SR4 ranked since I looked at some tiers yesterday too but it now makes sense. The thing is though I feel SR3 still clings to the theme of gangs still. I still don’t understand which game is exactly is better aside from the main two (SR & SR2) but eh it’s fun.
I respectfully disagree with this video. Having done a deep-dive on this game myself, i find the weakest points of the game being Steelport & the messy story; yes but in-terms of everything else, i see the game as the definitive Saints Row. THIS is the game that the majority of the fanbase & casual gamers think of when the name Saints Row is brought up…at least until the reboot came out & tarnished the series entirely. Yes, in a lot of way it CAN be seen as the weakest, but in some it can be seen as the strongest. The Third was the game that fully differentiated itself from GTA as was the intention. this is the definitive Saints Row game, the one that truly established its identity as the fun wacky counterpart, it’s not necessarily the best (i’d say that goes to either 2 or IV depending on what you value most) but 3 is certainly the best representation of what a Saints Row game is & should be.
Saints Row: The Third didn't "differentiate" the series from GTA. Saints Row 1 and 2 had a huge focus on turf and gang warfare, something that was only present in San Andreas during the first and fourth acts of that game and one quarter of the game's map. The Third did nothing but get rid of that iconic feature and ruined the series with its change in tone. Saints Row 2 is the true definitive experience and one of the best open-world titles out there. There's a reason why a majority of the fans have been begging for a return to form for the series for a long time.

Saints Row didn’t differentiate itself from GTA when San Andreas did the same things (on a surface level). There is a reason Saints Row was known as a GTA clone. For better or worse, The Third was different & separated the series from GTA, hell, that was largely the reason why Volition set out to make 3 the way they did in the first place so your reply is just incorrect. the average player looked at Saints Row 1/2 gameplay & thought; “why don’t I just play San Andreas?” obviously they could’ve played SR & come to the conclusion that it’s different & arguably better however most players didn’t even give it that chance because of the games premise & marketing. SR1, 2 & San Andreas are all “gangsta” games, SR3 was a celebrity power fantasy where you just so happened to be a gang leader. marketing showed this & hell, MOST players started with 3. i’m not saying it was the better game (hell it’s arguably the weakest), just that it’s a better representation of Saints Row.

It's objective fact that real Saints Row is gangster and that only one GTA game did gang warfare, and a lousy job at that. Gang warfare in San Andreas is a joke compared to the first two Saints Row games and if the average gamer were smarter, they would have done some research into the games or just bought the games and tried them out rather than assuming that the first two games were "GTA clones" because of them being open-world crime games and following the stigma that "clones = bad". That's the only reason why most people started with The Third. But now, more people are begging for a Saints Row 2 remaster as well as a return to the gangster roots. By your logic, you might as well say that Mafia 3 is the definitive game in that series because it doesn't have the main character working for or joining the mafia since GTA had quite a few games that focused around working for the mafia, either as a hired hand or an active member.

As someone who grew up on saints since it was released I whole heartily disagree. In fact Saints row 3 is my favorite entry then comes part 2. I had zero problems with the map in saints row 3. It really seems like the saints fandom is pretty much split when it comes to SR2 and SR3.
I agree 100%. I think that the reboot is 70% of what Saints Row The Third should have been back in 2011. Obviously the characters and story sucks, no need to belabor that. But the Vegas setting would have been a perfect logical step for the next city. The customization also feels mostly like the next step from 2 (minus some of the deep layering for clothing). It's a shame that the reboot didn't really lean into the casino/Vegas stuff more, it's more of a backdrop than anything. But with the Saints Row 2 design philosophy, it could have been amazing. Enterable casinos and deeper gambling mechanics would have been awesome, along with other several interiors. I will say that 3 does have the best controls for non-super power movement. That's really all I can give it though. I've sunk hours into 3, and no amount of coping can blind me from the fact that it's incredibly shallow. I don't think I'll ever play 3 again unless I'm doing coop or an entire series playthrough.
I love Stillwater this was the best town in Saints Row. I think the problem with Saints Row 5 was the story and the Bad characters not the gameplay at all,But Saints Row 3 have many things we missed in Saints row reboot My first Saints Row game was Saints Row 2 and I waiting so many years of the third one when I saw it at the E3 i'm never wait so long for a game like Saints row the third. I started playing the Saints Row series starting with the first game in 2011 and loved it. Then I played the second game a few months later and loved that one as well, even more so. Then I played The Third around its launch and was disappointed with the direction that Volition went with it. It was a serious downgrade compared to the first two. Even now years later, I don't see why people call it the best game in the series when it had a piss-poor story, bland open-world, a complete shift in tone, and totally got rid of the series' best feature: the gang warfare.
I dunno, SR2 is, of course, still my favorite. However, I'm not sure I would say SRTT is the worst, to me it's a toss up between SRTT and SRIV. I kinda can't decide w. hich is the worst between those two... Though, as a Saints Row game SRIV, which has absolutely nothing to do with what the series was originally supposed to be, would definitely be rated worst... Hell, even SRTT even though the gang were celebrities. at least they were celebrity gangsters... kinda... the maps for both games felt horrible and artifical to me, neither really had the same personality as Stilwater, and as for the Reboot, yeah definitely not my favorite SR game, but the city was actually pretty damned good. It needs interiors, and MUCH better npc chatter, but the way it is put together, and the districts that you can recognize as separate areas of the city are much better than the complete blandness of SRTT and SRIV. There really isn't a whole lot that either SRTT or SRIV really got right. Even the Reboot, that has (in my mind) so many things wrong with it, still got some good things right. It's a far cry from SR2, but much closer to it than either SRTT or SRIV.
I haven't played Saint's Row 1 much (have played it, just not many times) as I'm a PlayStation guy and only had an XBOX for a few years. But I'd say Saint's Row 2 > 3 > Reboot/4. I truly hated SR4, the whole alien crap, the time travel BS, to me the side missions was super repetitive and boring, while we had a small taste of super powers in SR3 I didn't like that they became a fixture in SR4. SR4 just didn't jiv with me at all. Still to this day I only played it once, and that oneI had to force myself to finish the story. I was really not liking it by the time I got near the end. I mean I didn't like it at the start when the Earth was blown up, but by the end it was more "I can't wait until this f*kin bull is over with." Meanwhile SR3 I actually have replayed it multiple times and enjoyed it. Could be that the story in 3 was just more to my liking where 4 just lost me completely. I really didn't think it could possibly get any worse then 4, surely 4 would forever be the worst game in the main series. Then the Reboot came out. I'm pretty sure I got access to it, I could swear it was free on PSN one month. But with playthoughs I've seen I've had no desire to even play the Reboot yet.
Hell nah SR3 may not be the best but it damn sure isnt the most mediocre in the franchise thats way too harsh. Gat Out of Hell still exists you know, and I would say something SR3 did well was weapon variety granted some of them are set behind DLC, but even the base ones are still awesome and cool to use. Like the weapon that lets you fire missiles from above, the gun that lets you call airstrikes down from the sky, the sonic boom, the fart in a jar, THE PENETRATOR (dildo bat), The Apoca-Fists. Saints Row The Third was not the best, but not nearly as bad as you made it out to be here. I will say I agree that I hated some elements of the game too like all the filler, the permanent upgrades, bland map(although superpowers aside Steeleport is WORSE in SR4), and barebones customization. This game is somewhere in the middle for me, or maybe slightly above average.😌👍
I haven't played 3 but I think it's the worst due to the lack of variety of vehicles. A lot of the vehicle are just modern vehicle that look alike. I like reboot for the variety of vehicles. Thank you & good night.
If you play Saints Row for the map and customizations SR3 is definitely the worst, but if you do for story and characters the the reboot is definitely the worst SR if not the worst game evr.
SR1 will always be my least favourite, does it have a good story and cast? Yeah, the gameplay however is so bad and can ruin some pretty good missions. The map is also too closed off and bland, along with the customisation being shit but thats kinda excused for being 2006...
My opinion I agree 100% saints row 1 and 2 are tha best 1s I don't know what and what and where they went at with 3 and followed by De other trash garbage 1s .. but they are just garbage ...
