They are amazing. I bought one of their DVDs to go with the CDs - I was a little worried about region lock but didn’t run into any issue. Hope they do Blu-Ray releases going forward.

It has been a privilege watching them mature into a skilled, consistent, highly energizing, and rockin' band. Ryan, your timing into this phase of their careers has been perfect. So glad of this review and exposure, however incremental.... fantastic people in a great band.

Saiseiga is a must see live band. I also saw them on my recent Japan trip. Had a chat with them after the show, lovely people and appreciated my comments. Hopefully see them again mid 2024 (if they have a show while I'm there again)

This is one of my favorite bands for sure! So underrated. Great to see the reaction!

If you told me I could ONLY see three Japanese bands while in country it would be (in order) Band Maid, Aldious and Saiseiga. Nobody else comes close.

Ryan, I still envy your Saiseiga "3150" t-shirt :D Btw I think, this band is underrated and deserves more attention. By my opinion Regan as a singer and front(wo)man is on par with Nemophila's Mayu and (I say that as an ex-drummer for 20+ years) Tohko's beats are superb, she has a refined and clever style of playing (pay attention on small details and hooks!).

I got the chekis as well. Saw them then Asterism the same day. Actually met both bands again outside the venue as Saiseiga was leaving and Asterism was coming. Both allowed cameras.

Ryan, have you checked out Regan and Tohko's old band Zettai Club (絶対倶楽部)? It's crazy how different they are, but still very good. I personally prefer Saiseiga as Zettai Club is more power metal (which I am typically not super fond of), but they are also pretty progressive so I still enjoy them. One of the 3 finalists for Lovebites bass recruitment video (Ichinose) was also in that band. I personally wouldn't put Saiseiga in the top thier of favourite Japanese bands, but they would be right under that. I really hope more people check them out, I think plenty of people who like Nemophila or Hanabie should be able to enjoy them or at least give them a shot. They deserve way more subs than they have. And yes, I have caught a couple of streamed shows by them and I will keep trying to check them out live, Regan is one of the better frontman/woman I have seen.

I wish I could force myself to like the growling, but I just can't. Everything else was excellent.
