And Just Some Guy without a Mustache's character is just pure motivation for commenting on every single video on RU-vid, because he can't have that kind of attention from his family, relatives, and friends.
The fact that there's still a lot of people that think that his training was as simple as a regular workout but in reality it was him coming over exhaustion day after day from his workouts and fighting and saving people, being pushed to near death so many times that he broke his limiter, saitama is truly worthy to be called a true hardworker
It doesn't matter, the point is that his powers shouldn't extend to the height that they are from that workout. The plot simply makes him as powerful as it needs him to be.
@@ez5324 tbh i think that if you read the manga, his case is similar to orochi but he didn't monsterize. Him fighting to near death and evading death multiple times lead to him getting stronger and stronger. That's how it was written in the world of opm. Maybe saitama himself just isnt aware of that and attributes all his strenght to the training.
Beauty of Saitama's gainings is that he overcame himself, his own limits. It's interesting that when he actually revealed his trainings nobody believed him, because it is not a volume of training too hard for them. Howewer, for him it was, and he did overcome it. In some way this teaches us to not look at other's achievements, but to ours, and be proud of ourselves for overcoming our limiters. Truly beatiful character.
He's a fantastic lesson in depression and nihilism. If there is longer any lofty goal or purpose or even challenge to being a hero for Saitama then why does he continue doing it?
@@abdessamadadli2746 yes.. but do you remember? when saitama fights with garou, he says he got the fight he wanted but wasn't satisfied at all or excited
@@_derudoru_ Saitama wasn't satisfied because he was pissed and upset that Garou killed Genos. It was even stated in his fight with Garou that, through a surge of emotions, he became even more powerful.
@@forkempty I dont think it was anger that he felt but instead grief. It said that saitama power grew due to an upsurge of emotion he never felt before. Saitama felt anger before and mostly likely felt sorrow and gried due to genos death. I wrote more than i wanted to but whatever 😂
<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="208">3:28</a> Wow, I like that his "transformation" or breaking of his limits had no fanfare or even a cool flashy looking presentation, just *WAP* and he's the simple drawing looking One Punch Man in under a second. Was most likely intentional in order to subvert the common trope of it looking all cool and powerful. Just a simple noise and then became all powerful.
Saitama is the only one truly worthy of his power. He is the most purposeful, even a disenfranchised rider cannot be compared with him. Saitama never gave up, always went to his goal, always rose. Each time his bones broke and he was on the verge of death, but he got up. And everyone says that he received strength from the air and he is not worthy of it. Just stupid haters who didn't even bother to study the character.
I believe there's something else that gave Saitama his powers. Yeah, he trained his ass out, but look at the other characters, black shine for example, he trained a lot too, but he isn't even that strong. The question is, what is the secret?
@@senseicho7856 It's the mentality in this universe that makes you like that, if you think like a child (like Saitama) and believe that if you do mediocre training regimen you would get stronger, in his mind, he gets stronger, and for some reason mental energy in this universe can give power through obsession. It's just like when you were little and you thought if you jumped from the 10th floor you would float down, maybe, if you ever thought that, lol.

It wasn't for no reason. Throughout the chapter, the reader is intentionally misled to believe that the pain that Saitama feels is from the tough exercise he is doing. However, it is revealed at the end that it was from a cavity that he had. When he loses the rotted tooth during the fight, the pain subsides and he breaks his limiter.
@@adawehibrahim7798 Trust me he is right about consistency I've been doing push ups everyday for over 4 years and its crazy the benefits of just spending a few minutes a day excercising. I started at around 21 pushups and quickly within a few months got up to 40 then got stuck at this number for a few years until now where I can do 65 without stopping (I pause for breaths though at the top of the pushups at higher numbers). Additionally from just this small amount of effort my arms have good detail and its good for me mentally to complete something hard everyday and its actually become quite fun to do. I'll admit I am not as consistent as I used to be as I have become worse at motivating myself over the years but along as you keep semi consistent you wont lose much progress. Tips to help you improve faster: firstly making sure you watch a few videos and learn good form before you start. Secondly making sure to do full range of motion eg stomach practically touches the ground as although its harder and you'll get a smaller total number its better in the long run. Thirdly with your palms flat push with your fingertips as this helps add extra strength (its a bit hard to explain but experiment with it and you'll figure it out). Third setting a number that you have to reach is good motivation obviously nothing out of your range and early on increasing this number every week or so to push yourself as you improve fast initially. Fourthly one thing I learnt to get out of being stuck at 40 was taking more time to breath properly (as I mentioned earlier pausing at the top for breath for later push ups as I find I get 30ish in and then need to focus a lot on getting my breath back) as not breathing enough made my muscles feel like it was way harder than it was causing me to stop more out of being tired than maxing out as I found that my arms wouldn't actually give out for another 14 after that (this was of course after a long time stuck at 41 so I had a bit of built up strength). Finally good music really helps you push harder and helps make it fun to do (I have a decent yt playlist if you want). Wish you luck man. Heads up the first month or so of keeping consistent is the hardest part and then you and your body will get into a rhythm and it becomes a lot easier and causes you less fatigue.
@@wargun09876because it shows something we all want and something we all love. Will power is shows saitama strength is truly an effort of a true hero years of training and fighting to get to the point he is now
i think the reason for the break was not because of workout intensity, after all, theres plenty of harder things than doing 100 push ups a day, but the determination. He never stopped, never broke regimen, never once took a break, even in sleep. He essentially rejected human nature to reward yourself and take things in moderation.
@@KluvGusy yea but after a while it’s nothing. After an entire year, 100 isn’t going to be challenging at all. If all Saitama does is his running and calisthenics, his body will be so used to doing it over and over that he literally won’t be challenged by it anymore. There’s a reason people add weight and do different techniques for these exercises. Because it’s not challenging anymore. Especially with how lean Saitama would have been
@@bevivoices Day after day he trains like a madman then fighting enemies, he was broken fighting then next day he will train. What do you expect? He's embodiment of a broken tore human.
@@bevivoicesalso, normally people rest so they could give their body time to recover. Saitama took no breaks, it's the equivalent of doing Kaio Ken everyday and not turning it off. Even goku knew how important rest is.
Goku isn't a bad character but everyone wants an alien, a superman, or a Super Saiyan to come. "Only other worldly beings can be great" but that's not the case and Saitama represents that. He's my favorite character for that reason. Humans are strong cause we have the power to change ourselves
First: when he fight crab guy and saving the kid Second time: when he trained and pushes his limits, on day 300 of training Third time: when he save a kid from car accident And more His eyes was flaming 🔥🔥
I think I understand the joke now. I have been reading OPM manga since 2013. And I just understood how the 100 push-ups etc, which sounded like normal training course made him uber strong. The thing is when he could've actually reached super strength, his "push-ups" might have became "push-downs" meaning he might as well be pushing the ground down and not just simply lifting himself. All his moves are named after the most menial act. He "flipped" the table against garou but what he did was turn IO, Jupiter's moon, inside out. He jumped sideways and it created infinite after images but to him he might as well just seeing things normally. That's why his training regimen might as well actually be him pushing himself harder and harder everyday because he's talking about his perspective where a push-up is him pushing the earth down like chuck norris and 100m dash is running a 100m less than a sec. He once "pushed" himself to turn around so fast that he saw his back.
What joke, u missed it completely. It’s not the training that make him super strong, it’s his mindset. 100push up sound like something that someone train hard enough could achieve, but that’s not his training. It’s him pushing himself to the limit every single day for 3whole years. It’s like if i could do 40push up today, maybe i could do 45tmr and call it a stop. But in saitama case, he just keep doing it until he can’t no more. This take a huge toll on mental strength than u think, and he do this everyday for 3years.
@@prumchhangsreng979No I think it mightve been the training. S class heros have higher limits while Saitama could barely do 100 push ups. Having a lower limit made it easier to break his limiter. I think thats what happened.
I think this is a perfect example of ONE's sense for intertwining comedy with genuinely great dramatic writing and character development. Saitamas workout routine is on paper a joke, and we first learn about it that way, but when we see glimpses into his past, its the same routine, but the fact that saitama takes it so seriously, and genuinely does a simple task with such intensity and consistency that it causes him intense pain and enough stress to make him lose his hair, yet he doesnt ever boast about it or seem impressed with himself, says so much about him. Saitama may be a parody in concept, but in execution hes a grounded and inspirational character
Saitama is the best example of a True *HERO*. No one other Saitama deserves that power. Saitama had earned it. Saving people without asking for anything in return. Not just from monsters but from themselves.
If a power is earned, it is not a worthwhile power. Superman is more interesting. He HAS the power, and despite the capacity of being one above all, he chooses humility and humanity. He is one of the most selfless people out there, more human that probably any IRL human, ironically.
What the hell do you mean? A power that is earned is true power, only those who were weak before can understand others sufffering and help them. Saiatama also has a complex personality, making him more interesting. Maybe you are just a kid
I fuckin' love how Yusuke combines the dynamic, forceful actions of western comics and the fluid, impactful motion of Japanese comics. I think thats why every one of Saitamas punches carry weight because it has that added western comic impact behind it.
Honestly if they ever finish the series I’d love to see a mini prequel series of Saitama during his three year training period. I feel like there’s a lot of potential there.
I think Saitama represents how if you have endless motivation and that dream to be who you want to be and never give up even if it means you will face death in the face but still never give up you can have endless power
<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="158">2:38</a> "Can I do this?" I don't know why, and maybe i'm wrong, but i like to think this line is the point of Saitama's strength. He doesn't let himself be influenced by his own doubts. It's a very powerful concept.
Saitama and Garou are motivation to me. During tough times I think of if as processes to breaking my own limiter (it’s nonsense but you can achieve some great pain thresholds by believing that it’s true) As for Garou, one of my favourite quotes in fiction is his quote after losing a fight with the watchdog man. He says “I can’t hold the excitement in, I can get so much stronger” He looks around and thinks how much more he can become not where he currently his. This mentality has changed the way I live my life. That’s actually a real thing called the “growth mindset”
Good to remind yourself where you came from. Remembering who you were when your body was weak and yet still your will was strong. The man that made you who you are today
Its a good sentence but you just need to arrange and add some I dont fear a man that has trained a thousand times in 1 year. But I fear a man that has trained a thousand times everyday in 1 year.
Goku has a bigger potential than Saitama before he removed his limiter because he's a saiyan, since Saitama's limiter was so small due to being a human, he removed it fast and went beyond any living being, Goku still has a limiter, he keeps breaking it with every new form but never removed it
You got someone who breaks their limit on the daily and you got someone who has no limit Really, if they were to fight, it would be a stalemate Of course, Dragon Ball Universe rules work differently than the OPM rules does so idk
Considering Saitama went from continental-level power, to galactic-level during the Cosmic Garou fight in a span of like 10 minutes by simply trying a little harder, without even having to go through any transformation or real physical damage, I'd assume Saitama's potential and ability to grow in strength is quite a bit more than Goku's. We know that Saitama's strength increased this quickly because in the S1 OVA (canon in the manga), Saitama sneezes and creates a small dust explosion, but in the Garou fight, he sneezes and destroys Jupiter, so it's safe to assume he really did grow that quickly. But again, different universes so it's hard to assume anything.
Saitama did his training routine for 3 years in which he did 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10 km run everyday. He ate three meals a day and sometimes just a banana for breakfast. He didn’t use air conditioning during the summer or winter to strengthen his mind. Although his training seems standard, it was very intense for Saitama, and would cause his body intense pain and muscle aches. There were even times where he felt as if he would die and would vomit blood. According to Dr. Genus, the scientist who created the House of Evolution, since Saitama persevered with such an intense routine, he somehow managed to remove his limiter with sheer effort. Gyoro Gyoro, the military adviser and one of the executives of the Monster Association, has also stumbled upon the concept of the limiter. According to her, the way to remove/break one’s limiter is to overcome death. A human must experience a “personalized hell” that’s suitable for them at their level and take an abnormal amount of punishment on the mind and body. To “overcome death”, a being must survive multiple near death experiences which should result in explosive growth. While there’s no direct confirmation, Gyoro Gyoro doesn’t appear to be wrong because she did this process to Monster King, Orochi, and she considers him a success, with him being the only one of her experiments to overcome death and reach a Disaster Level of Dragon (According to Murata, Monster King Orochi’s Disaster Level is Dragon or Above). She also does this same experiment to Garou, and he actually was in the process of breaking his limiter. Saitama, on the other hand, seems to have gone through everything that Gyoro Gyoro described when she was telling Garou the process of removing one’s limiter. It should also be pointed out that Saitama would battle monsters that appeared during his training days, and he wouldn’t take breaks which would make his training harder than it appears. According to Saitama, there were times where he would get severe injuries to the point where he was on the brink of death, yet he continued his training and kept fighting monsters.
When one reaches his true potential, he trancends humanity. That potential is individual, one may train less than another, but reaching his limit is just as hard for everybody. It's one goal in life to reach one's full potential in one field and reach Nietzschean trancendence.
I honestly think if they make an arc about Saitama becoming HIM it will be peak. He fought just like Garou, near to the death everyday, becoming stronger with each fitght, it's not just his training routine..
You’re not a manga character bro I respect the work ethic, but do the amount of exercise this man did every single day without proper rest - and your organs WILL fail you, at some point You’re not a superhuman I’m all for training like an olympic athlete, but that kinds of stuff requires gradual progressive overload - not suddenly dumping a mountain of strain on your muscles and heart

I think the genius of this is that this is kind of a workout a lot of people can try. Maybe not the 10k run, but it’s just something that people can go far. It's not the training 'alone' that made him broke his limiter. It's his near death experiences from his fights, his mindset aligned him to believe that basic training would made him super strong. But as many people said, he is a *MeDioCre* simple headed guy, he never even sees his fights to monsters as a challenge, always just a Saturdays of bargain day at the supermarket. I just hate it when the author was basically implying it to readers faces, but still rub a doubt. It's well established that Saitama don't take his opponents too seriously(Facing your daily monsters for fun, as a hobby.) including what may society may think of him/you, "cheater/fake/ugly/bland/no one". It's a base character made to show a free yet unbreakable spirit... A bland character but who totally works(Same as the author's art style, and his art message) ONE wants to make a role model that could be anyone, the only limit is yourself. So as long as you doubt, then you're just a body builder who never train to be a hero, or an absolute evil with half assed objective. You can be great just by doing it for fun. Limit was their doubts, so break through it. One punch man started as for fun.
