Thats because Gygax was a DM who made firedball spread if it was cast in tight quarters so 20 foot sphere cast in a 10x10 hall winds up frying the caster and sometimes destroyed treasure. His son proposed a spell that is the same but WOULDN'T ACCEDENTALLY KILL HIM and gygax said... "too powerful"

The one thing that always bugged me about the fight scene is that Saitama stopped infront of genos' face, but the air pressure didn't hurt him, but still cleared the cliff and split the clouds?
Not quite, if you look closely you can see that Saitama jumped in front of his own punch to absorb most of the pressure from his punch that would've otherwise obliterated Genos. It's easy to miss

That why mappa was not ready for one punch man ss3, ss3 need at least equal or better quality than ss1. ss2 was ok but "just ok", i mean mad house has a big shadow.
