The Saito 91 is about my favorite of all the Saito engines and this is two of them. Such a beautiful design and great preformer

Sounds better each run, i apreciate more well used, maintained and properly broken in engines, than "low time" from engine newbies.

I have a couple of these one installed in a Carl Goldberg Bucker Jungmann that took 17 years to complete ( ! ) Great choice for a power up for this airframe and fits well (sort of) because its a short engine. I know comparisons are a bit suspect due to many variables but the best performance to date I have is 9200 rpm 16% Heli fuel using a Menz 16x8. I struggle to keep the left cylinder alight after lengthy low idle runs and taxiing. Its always that one cylinder that dies. The air bleed screws are set quite differently for each cylinder - more fine tweaking required I think. These engines have a quirk, the idle has two sounds/beats - you can just hear it start at around 2:00 as the idle drops below 2000 rpm . Sometimes mine will run just below 2000 rpm with this alternative beat for a short while

Hi David, a little more power and your Work Mate start´s flying :-). BTW this engine is great mechanic stuff. Dream machine.

Yeah, I forgot how large it was and I had to step on it a few times to keep it from flying away!

@@dmrcflyr2 I will have the same problems while test running a near virgin OS 160 FX with 20x8 METTS prop maybe this weekend....will use same sand buckles to make the work mate heavy. Maybe be better to lock the whole thing to the house wall :-) Will report about that fun :-) Pics incl.
