Stealth and Kamui cosplay are the best I swear! Stealth was the reason I started doing pepakura, so major props for stealth, changed many people's lives I think
Also 4:15 This must be the sign all the greats do, because she does this as well, weird huh? No, it's just facts... .... *tilts camera toward face at an extreme angle* "My moneys gone!!"
Surprising my boyfriend with Bulma and Vegeta costumes for Halloween... super excited because you make it look so easy I will definitely make this instead of just buying him a factory made costume, thank you!!
@@Heroesworkshop You're welcome!! Be sure you check out my channel!! It's got tutorials on crafts, cosplay, fashion, makeup, I think you might like it!
i used hot glue once on my first attempt , never again as when i used my dremmel on it the friction warmed up the glue and then i had to try and correct the correction lol great tut' keep up the great vids
Now what I'd like to know is how to make those thigh flaps you always see on Saiyan armor. It seems like like every armor tutorial leaves that part out. That being said, this was actually a more simplistic and efficient way way to make'em, thanks!
That’s pretty easy to be honest. I want to do the Saiyan armor with the shoulder pads. That armor design has the pads on the thighs and the front center.
You need to be more confident in your work, cartoons are nothing to be ashamed of despite social stigma and obviously this particular violent one ended up making you an artist. I make armor and weaponry and your tutorial was pivotal in making my own metal version great. Your tutorial was easy to understand and even without the program, the way you displayed and he measuring system you gave made this a much easier piece. Keep up the good work man.
my suggestion, how about adding a white neck guard/ collar, then the shoulder guards from the original saiyan armor, but drooped down ( not jutting upward) so it really covers the biceps, gold armor parts as side skirts and a bit of the gold/ yellow armor for the white gloves and boots...that would improve or give an updated look!
Amazing vid. I noticed that at the end of this video, you display that you have a tutorial on how to use pepakura on a Mac. Is that tutorial only available with this project, or can it come included with let’s say the Mandalorian helmet template?
Hi there this are some great vids thx. I have a question, i always have problems getting the size right on this pepa stuff. I am relativ tall and skinny and because i can only scale the templates they are ether to wide or to short. Any tips on making the template longer and not wider?
Sometimes you have to be creative and cut a section off of the part to make it fit you. The pepakura model is just a base. It's not always going to fit you perfectly. Alot of of times the models come from video games with unrealistic proportions. You have to make the modifications to certain areas to make it work. I had to do it here on this armor. I mentioned that in this video too.
@@Heroesworkshop Wow thx for the fast answer. Must have missed that in the video. So its hard work and no magic :). Happy new year to you and you robocop chest on insta looks amaaaazing!
@@Belzebub1978 Thank you very much. I'm trying really hard this year to make way more videos for the whole year and try to reply to everyone. I don't want people to be stuck on things.
really OP badass .cant wait to see in 27 dec MY . Btw check out my video of SSJ3 foam wig = ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PlxOxRktHek.html
I’m not affiliated with Pepakura. So no, it wouldn’t be included. I’m assuming you’re an absolute beginner at all this. Watch this in depth video tutorial to find out how to install it for use for free and also the main point of that video is you teach you how to use the software and build with the foam templates. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vRrfclFDiS0.html The only difference from free version and paid version is that you need to buy it to save any scaling edits. So if you get into the hobby, it’s worth it. I’ve used it for over 10 years and they still update it to this day.
@@Heroesworkshop Thanks I made my iron man suit out of some I got from hobby lobby but your always looks so nice. I was one of the kickstarters that got a helmet from you a few years back. Thanks for all the help!
Really appreciate the tutorial! I downloaded the template and have cut out the foam pieces. I am having a LOT of trouble gluing the pieces together because their edges don't seem to attach properly. I discovered that I have to use a Dremel to create bevels in order to attach them and glue them, but I don't know which side to create the bevels and how exactly to attach them. I havent been able to find an answer online. I would really appreciate it if you, or anyone reading this can provide some pointers. thanks!
The file came with Pepakura tutorials in a video playlist that explained this. Refer to the software when you see an angle and that's simply how you know when and where to cut a bevel to match what you see. 90 degrees angles, you cut 2 bevels. One on each edge you're connecting. For a 45 degree angle, you cut either edge, but only one edge is beveled.
Since the foam is going to be curved by heat. It will stretch a little and form to the shape it would have been if it had the seams. So it’s a win/win.
Parts aren't going to always fit in the panel. Just print it if it overlaps, just cut them all out and tape the paper templates together and then trace onto foam. That's the solution. Everyone does that and that's how it's done as it's how the program works when the scale makes the templates bigger. Good luck.
Beardshire like... one later on the outside of a spandex/ stretchy material then on the inside the foam peices that are fitted to your shape and attached somehow so they wont move, and then an inner layer thats also stretchy material
I always use a few light coats to seal the pores, then plastic-dip once it's dry. It's given me a more even coat for the final paint, in my experience.
But then you'll have to cut and glue those seams when they're on the foam and you'll see the seams a lot when it's painted and it'll look bad. The point is to fuse them to achieve a seamless clean look.
Yes and no. You can use it free but It won't save any setting changes you make if you scale it up or down from the original file setting. You'll have to leave the software open as you build it and not close it. I bought it in 2009 and I've gotten way more than what I paid out of it for years
thank you very much .. I am going to buy the templates .. your video is very good but I do not understand much English I speak Spanish and I do not understand the part of the dimensions of the armor, please could you explain it to me? and please if you can make the broly armor your armor is great.
Looks awesome dude! I tried 3D printing Saiyan armor for a paragus cosplay. Actually turned out better than I thought it would. Check it out if you get a chance! Keep it up!!!
I sell the templates on heroesworkshop.com. I don't really want to be an armor factory though. It'll kill my motivation for other projects. I like doing"one offs" now. :)
