The funny thing is Saka gets hate for assists off set pieces, but, somehow, some of the same fans count Palmer's PKs the same as open play goals. Some of these same fans glazed Trent endlessly for his set piece delivery. If you ignore Saka's set piece assists he still leads the prem in assists, even if everyone else gets to count their set piece assists. Saka is literally the best winger in the world at delivering crosses from open play or set pieces.

Yesterday a MU fan said Arsenal are just average players with a good coach but who have just been practicing together for 5 years. Unfortunately for the haters only Saka and Martinelli remain from our Emery-Arteta season (2019-2020). We have replaced 2-3 players each window since June 2020 and since we missed out on top 4 two years ago, we've added: g. Jesus, zinchenko, trossard, Jorgi, kiwior, Rice, havertz, timber, califiori, merino. 10 players all of but one of them have started for us in the past week. So the delusional hate is real.

People are really dumb these days. What sets saka above from palmer is his off the ball work rate and defensive duties and he matches in attacking abilities. You see what makes a world class player is the most complete package and saka is exactly that he will contribute at a world class rate going forward and off the ball defensively. We cant say palmer and foden are as good off the ball and defensively. And im not saying that palmer and foden are not world class because they are but so is saka. He has been in world top 20 for 2 years running and will definitely be in top 10 this year.

Saka is what I wish Rashford would've become. Throughout the years we had Rashford, Greenwood now Garnacho. But I have to respect Saka and Foden. I still think that Foden is a bit better. The reality is Saka is doubled upon on sometimes tripled upon on in the majority of games and is often given space to go onto his right foot and cross the ball because they daren't let him on his left to shoot because he is that dangerous. This often leads to the ball going out for a corner or a cross being put into the box. It's not Saka's fault that's how the opposition play against him and despite all that he still manages to generate good g/a.

Biggest attribute a player can have is consistency. Saka has not only been consistent the last 3 seasons but is improving each season as well. Maybe it is premature to say he is world-class, but i think he is personally. Anyone who argues and says Foden is better because he has won more, as an example, is just being short-sighted. If you swapped those 2 players, i would guarantee Saka would have just as many trophies as Foden. Its not always just about how good a player is, but also how good a team they play in.

I genuinely don’t understand how an individual player’s rating as World Class, is determined by the success that his club has had. Trophies aren’t won by individuals, they are won by teams. I think this is a Gen Z take. Most Gen Z football fans don't really remember Arsenal as a successful team. Arsenal has been the bridesmaid but never the bride during most of their fandom. I think also during the post AFTV era Arsenal has been a banter club with a vocal fan base that was unhappy with their place in the football ecosystem. Where once Arsenal was competing with the best teams of the world in terms of starting XI to not even qualifying for the UCL. Now Arsenal are getting outta the mud slowly, it scares the fans of rival clubs who've benefitted during Arsenal's decline mainly Chelsea, United, Liverpool and City. If Arsenal end the season with a Premier League or UCL or both the banter era for Arsenal is officially over and nobody wants to fill that void. Everyone got comfortable with Arsenal being the banter club and they are frightened the worm will turn come the end of the season.
