I really am a sucker for memoirs and these 2 are some of my earliest ones, not sure how many times I've reread each of them over the decades. They're also 2 out of maybe the ten best known in America. I'm gonna have to get back to memoirs sometime this year for some more obscure ones.

Interesting, I note that Americans say submariner. It is correct to say sub- marina. Ergo, sub ma rinn na. Emphasis on the letter A. Nah. Sub marin nah. Got it?

I've heard it said both ways depending on whether it's British or American usage. I normally say sub Mariner because I like the sound better. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
