It really is touching to hear this duet when you know Saki Fujita is the original voice that Miku's is based off of. It's like your singing with your alter ego or Vocaloid counterpart of sorts but that's just me.

Basically Miku is her robotic sort of voice, but still Miku sounds so much different from her except the tone of the vocals, the overall content of the vocaloid (effects, synth, mix and prolonging the vocals) is what makes it sound different from Saki.
while i was listening miku and saki singinging alone i was wondering: if i can hear clearly the same voice, why can I spot a small defference between them? and the i was like: oh yeah.... saki is a human.... then i realised that sometimes miku sounds a bit cold... i dont know... what do you think? ( sorry for bad english)

Saki Fujita should have a future role in Sonic games as a mysterious & beautiful royal blue-eyed golden hedgehog who would be a techno pop-sensation created by some famous scientist from a foreign country & she'd appears in Shadow The Hedgehog 2.(hopefully Sega makes that someday) That game might even be much better than Sonic 06.
To those who say that it's exactly the same, actually this is how Vocaloid works. So, voice samples were taken from Saki, and then the voice was tuned to sound slightly different in quality so that it wouldn't sound exactly like Saki. And that's Miku. If Miku's voice was exactly Saki's, it would be like running around with Saki's voice and being able to make it "sing" any song. But since Saki is a singer, that would ruin her career. Therefore, they have to tune the voices in order to make them sound slightly different so that the singer will not lose their career.
Kalidreamine pretty sure saki gets a cut of miku software sales. Not the music, vocaloid is legally considered an instrument and sound editing software. But the sales of the software i think she gets it. Also some people do keep the quality almost the same. Any time a skilled producer makes miku sound less robotic, it sounds darn close
Saki Fujita is voice actor of miku, Hatsune Miku self has many voice because her sound was altered.Dont think Vocaloid doesn't have voice actor,Dont be Baka.
+GirlsDeadGamers well one is a program of one's voice and only the user of Vocaloid can make Hatsune sound realistic. They technically are the same voices because Saki Fujita is the voice actor of Hatsune Miku.

I like her. But you guys seem confused. She only sounds like miku on the high notes.Other than that she sounds like a regular japanese woman. She only put in vowels for the computer to create Miku.
KittensOnFire14 not just vowels. She probably just recorded each syllable and syllable combination. She would have just said the Japanese alphabet and the combination sounds like byo, hyo, ryu, etc.
Perdón, lo que quería decir es que para la ópera se necesitan (entre muchas otras cosas), mucho poder vocal, presencia escénica, matices y sobre todo cargarla de sentimiento y pasión, y bueno una maquina no tiene los últimos, aún asi puede ser una buena propuesta, habría que verlo.
