Good review, no biggie with the sound issues, and who gives a flying one about the pronunciation of Sako? I have the 85 Carbonlight in .308 and for those interested it will hit small steel plates with consistency out to 700 metres using factory 123gr and 168gr (the rounds I use for hunting). Will go to 800 metres no problem if the barrel isn't too hot. Very good indeed for a 20 inch fluted hunting barrel. Can't recommend these lightweight stunners highly enough, obviously not a range rifle but can do way more than I expected at distance.

How was the balance with the suppressor ? I imagine that because of the light weight, it must have been at least somewhat front-heavy ? Was it VERY front heavy, or only slightly ?

HI ,do you think the peaks is worth the 800$ difference compare with the adventure? Im thinking saving 800$ and put it on a good glass.

The carbon fibre looks so untidy. They haven’t even tried to make the weave look neat and uniform. For the price you would expect a little more attention to detail.

I appreciate the review. You definitely repeated yourself a lot saying the same things over and over but it’s still one of the better reviews on these new SAKO rifles (prounounced SOCKO) so far! I had the carbonlight in the 85 series and I really liked that rifle a lot. However it had a 20 1/4 inch barrel which is kind of short in the hunting game, and the Finnish I could see overtime wearing off quite quickly and not having very much grip to it. I think the 90s series having the longer barrel and what appears to be a better textured finish will prove to be better and last longer! Having a finnlight 2, I am used to using the rising cheek piece that is activated by the button, so I’m not sure what it will be like going back to a non-cheek extension stock. I’m assuming if you get the scope down low enough it will be fine. For me there is no need for a threaded barrel that is just an added expense to the rifle that puts it out of peoples range financially! I’m not sure about the Picatinny rail yet, it’s a nice idea but I have always been a fan of the OPTi lock connection system. I believe it looks better, cleaner, and the scope would not move whatsoever with that system! I am also a little turned off by the bolt handle on the 90 series. It reminds me of the Tikka bolt that’s hollowed out. I do not like the look of it or the feel of it but that’s a small sacrifice to have one of these Carbon fiber rifles! Finally, not sure about the twist rate. I understand why they did it but out of my finnlight 2 Sako 85 6.5x55, with a faster twist rate, I shot several different non-lead Ammunition and there was no problems whatsoever. In fact it was better groups than what you were shooting in your video, so I wonder if it will affect the impact on the wildlife that I shoot. Certainly something to consider and think about, but besides the terrible ejection design in the Sako 85s, I have a lot of trust in Sako as a company! Hopefully they have one of these carbon fiber rifles in 6.5x 55 Swede, if not a 243 would be the next best option in my opinion!

1in 11 for leadfree ammo? I thought, as copper is lighter, say a 165 grain copper bullet is longer than its copper-lead equivalent and thus requires a faster twist? Or will they only shoot 100-130 grain pills at faster speeds to slightly negate the slower twist rate? (Not heckling, just very curious…)

Not sure what it will cost in the USA. My guess is 3k-3500isj ish. Hard to sell them at that price range when you can buy a defiance action, Cf barrel, Timney trigger, decent dbm and cf stock for around same price. Also with twist rates us Americans have use for. I’d get the hunter if it was 1800ish for a heirloom piece to pass down but never one of these. I’m sure it’ll sell wel in countries like Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Us Americans can own 5 guns for what this one will cost. Or one extremely nice gun and nice optic and 1000 rounds of ammo for what this one cost. I can get 2 weatherby mark v for the price of this. 3 xbolts or 4 rem 700’s for example. Not sure these crazy priced factory rifles are worth it these days. Most I’d give for this rifle is 1800 ish. That’s what a Springfield way point steel barrel costs and comes with .75 moa. Also fierce rogue that comes w a cf barrel, cf stock, and Timney trigger cost 1900 ish. And has a .50 moa guarantee. It is based off a sako action as well. So glad to be an American. Sorry Anyone else. They steal your money.
