I'm going to buy that scope, put it on a 22LR that was run over by my 4WD and see if it can hit a target at 10,000M :D - in all seriousness, ive asked the gunshop if I can upgrade my steiner T5Xi before it arrives. Love gadgets :D

Carols Rex well spotted! Yes the M10 is currently available with M-LOK forend. This rifle is one of the very early models which doesn’t have it but if you were to buy one today it would have the M-LOK forend. Thanks for watching the vid and I hope you enjoy the channel!

An amazing rifle setup but at $30k, many shooters won’t be able to play with this system....

Mate, what does your tattoo say on your forearm, I wasn't able to translate the full script but it appears to be Latin.
@TheLongGunProject
@TheLongGunProject 3 года назад
Bravo One OEF you are correct the tattoo is written in Latin. It reads “Amatos Tuos Defende” which translates to “Protect those you love” in English. I got this tattoo as a personal motto in recognition of my responsibility to look after my family and my brothers and sisters in arms. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the other videos on the channel 👍🏼

Perhaps this is going to be a very stupid question that only an armature can ask, but . . is this gun and configuration of the gun available to the general public or only to the members of the defense force / protection?

It is available to the public if your local gun laws allow

Perhaps I’m a bit of a troglodyte but putting this many gimmicks and tech into a scope seems like just more opportunities for failure. Steiner makes great gear and they’re following the direction the rest of the industry is pushing towards but is this really what modern shooter (not gen z gamers) actually want and need? Maybe I’m just too old but I’ll stick with my mil dots and dope cards.
@johanneslaxell6641
@johanneslaxell6641 Год назад
And I was thinking about "the lone ranger" all by himself. How does this "beat" the Burris Eliminator 5, except for probable quality (military use)? Thinking that one man with one scope is easier than different spotting binoculars... I am surely thinking something wrong, but what?
@nbonner75
@nbonner75 Год назад
@@johanneslaxell6641 “tech” is nice... when it works and when it doesn’t compromise operational security (optical/digital signature, etc.). But “tech” is also prone to failure at a much higher rate than simple mechanical/optical devices. Laser range finders won’t read well/accurately in rain, fog, smoke/haze, through light to moderate foliage or on non-reflective surfaces such as animal hair or OD paint. If you don’t know how to accurately range a target with just the scale in your scope’s reticle, you’re out of luck. If your ballistic computer dies due to rain, cold, impact or simply being out of batteries and you don’t have DOPE cards or your data book, you’re out of luck. If you know your scope’s reticle, the size of common objects found in or around your target area and can do some very basic math, you can range any target. If you’ve recorded your DOPE from training/practice at various ranges, can read wind mirage and know your wind holds for various wind speeds and direction at various distances, you really don’t need any type of ballistic computer. If you’re a serious shooter, don’t get dependent on “tech” - It’ll screw you at the most inopportune times.
