I’m so glad you reviewed this place. I drove by it so many times and wanted to try it. I also saw an antique store a couple doors down so I have to go to both. I love that they have a fresh hibachi bar.
Rich commenting on each of the sushi rolls was the best part of our day! There’s nothing we love more than a Chinese buffet, thanks for doing this video!
Hi Rich and Jen, the Sakura buffet looked pretty good. I only wish they would take a couple of minutes to wipe it down. Ya know? Anyway, be safe in your travels and keep the videos comin. You guys are fun to watch.
Rich & Jen- My husband & I love your channel. First of all I understand people has their own opinion about things including restaurants. We just got home a few days ago from Pigeon Forge where we were vacationing. My husband picked Sakura. Biggest mistake he could have made. I couldn’t get past how dirty it was. We took my brother & sister with us. We all walked out of there very disappointed. Again only our opinion. You both do a great job on your channel. Keep up the good work. May God Bless.
Thank you for watching!! Oh no, I totally get that. That’s why I was saying you just got to not look around…..😝 We were already there and eating and it’s one of those sorts of things that I could totally see why some people would leave. It wasn’t bad when we were there but I could see the potential. But we were fine after we ate…😂
Patricia, we went down for our 22 wedding anniversary in May. At 2 am we found bed bugs in our bed and on the walls of the room,. We quickly packed up and left😢😢😢😢. We live almost 2 hours away. We got our money back. I cried all the way home 🏡 😭. We will never spend another night there. We will go for the day or eat
Hi Rich and Jen! Love your channel. My husband and I live in Arizona. The city we live in has a handful of good restaurants. The rest are not very good. I love how many wonderful restaurants you have in your area. Pigeon forge and surrounding areas in Tennessee are on my bucket list to visit. Not only great restaurants but Tennessee is just darn beautiful! Thank you for tantalizing our taste buds!😁
We watched this as soon as it came out on our tv. So I hadn't had a chance to comment. This is a restaurant David has been wanting to review but I have not felt his excitement in reviewing it. You did an excellent job on the review of showing all the items on the buffet. There are lots of choices here. Thanks for sharing!
Love your channel!! I heard you mention Shady Maple. I am not a big buffet person, but I would love to go back there someday. Keep up the great work. 💕
I'm in the Cleveland, Ohio suburbs and we have a place called "Fuji Buffet" that looks amazingly similar. Almost the exact same food items, perhaps a few more shrimp choices. I actually just went a few weeks back...I get an urge to go there about 2 times a year and then think it's the last time I'll ever go back (but I do). I wish I had your discipline.....I always eat way too much (way)!
Thank you so much for the recommendations, its always good to have local knowledge. We fly at the end of August and are so looking forward to it. You and Rich make great videos.
Make sure you take time to go on trips into the National Park- nothing compares to its amazing beauty. Some schools will be back in session so it shouldn’t be super crazy busy! And thank you!!☺️
Rich & Jen have talked about living in FL and working for the sea food industry.... just wonder in what compacity ? Don't need to know what company, just interested in their background.
First of all, I think that they needed to finish cleaning those Tilapia before they cooked ‘em, I just don’t like seeing a fish head on my plate!! Putting that shrimp so close to the chocolate fountain in a recipe for disaster! You should have skewered a couple of them and run them under the chocolate! You’d probably be the most popular people in the restaurant for the remainder of your meal!😂 . Seriously, I really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing another great review!!!!
Tampa Bay area TV stations are also reporting on restaurants on their Dirty Dining segments and Chinese buffet restaurants are always failing health inspections (chicken in buckets at room temp, live roaches, rodent droppings). Take a tour of the kitchen next time. Employees are probably working 80+ hours per week and sleeping in a converted broom closet & taking showers at the YMCA
We ate there once and thought it was mediocre, plus the place didn’t seem very clean.😢 Have you ever eaten at that Brazilian restaurant? I think it’s in PF, but I can’t remember the name. It’s pricey but it’s supposed to be awesome! Great video👍🏼😊
There are two here one is called Rio bravo, which is all you can eat pizza and the other. I know you’re talking about where it’s all you can eat different kinds of meat and a salad bar. We have not been there, but we have it on our list. And thank you for watching.
My husband and I love your channel and we are coming over from England soon and you have given us some really good suggestions of where to eat. Hope you dont mind me asking but are there any good shows we could go to in the evenings?
Dixie Stampede is good. As well as The Comedy Barn. comedybarn.com/ dpstampede.com/pigeon-forge These are in my opinion the best two. Both are dinner shows and the food is good. That’s so neat that you are coming from England- what month are y’all coming?
I have ate there many times. Food is good. Only have had lunch. When people are saying not clean it’s just that at a buffet people are dropping food and making a mess. I have never had any problems. It’s not a five star but always tasty.
There was so much wrong with that restaurant that I would have made a u-turn the minute I walked in the door. If they can't keep up the area where their customers dine, what must the back of the house look like. Yikes! Hope you're both ok and didn't have any lasting issues from the food. 😳
Looks yummy 😋, I like pepper chicken or beef, pepper steak ,sweet and sour chicken, coconut chicken,Mongolian beef. Do you or anyone out there have Yum Yum sauce recipe? Thanks
This must be a chain or a common name we have one in southern cal. Its alright for the price sure couldnt make all that . I do buffets differebt thqn most burn out i guess but i just get one or two entrees sometimes eating 30 different spoonfuls of food just csnt enjoy. But either way cant beat the price. Simply food for nice outting even a poor person can have a good meal occasionally . Ive bought meals at this place for homeless that are close around. Not boasting anykne reading this think about doing the same. 15 to 20 bucks can feed a person for a full day. A few friends can treat a poor and o nhomeless family to a sunday meal. Our town had a program like that certain restaurants would feed homeless with community buying meals it was centered towards impoverished families. Im sorry to be all over the place, just sayjng we can all work together to help those in need and places like this they eat well and get to not have to stress out for a day about food. I dont see how anyone can starve in americs with food being thrown out snd so many people willing to help. We just need to coordinate and work together.
When we eat Chinese food and we get a fortune cookie, we take turns reading them around the table and we add the words 'in bed' after each phrase.... it makes them all so much funnier!
I won’t be visiting here while in the area they are not terrible well food bars and it doesn’t look very busy so what are the employees doing? Just an opinion from looking through the camera
One of the other burg y-tubers did a review of this place and a couple of weeks later it was a point away from a failing grade. Asian buffets scare me .
The buffet looked amazing. We are headed that way in September and just might have to try it. I am surprised that one of the fortune cookie didn't read "WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT YOU ABOUT YOUR CAR WARRANTY "
All our good Chinese buffets went out of business durring the Pandemic, and ordering takeout Chinese is crazy expensive. We love Chinese so maybe we will give Sakura a try in September when we are in the area on vacation. I love a good pot sticker and you never find those on Buffets that I have been to. Everything looked good and the price was reasonable.
We were there at 11:15 and the food tasted old and serving areas were very dirty. The workers didn’t seem too care. Lunch for us only lasted about 10 minutes because it was that bad. When we complained they didn’t even bother to answer.
I know a guy who plowed 9 plates at Golden Coral. They hate that. They refused entry of the Cincinnati Bengals. I get burned at buffets. I don't care about food.
For some reason, Vacation Station TV thinks Sakura cooks their chicken with saffron, one of the most expensive spices on earth. He also believes nothing in this buffet is brought in prepared and that all of their food is cooked from scratch, including killing the shrimp! That man needs to get his head examined.
Actually lived just off the coast in Jacksonville, Florida for 50 years and had sushi there plenty of times. Most of the sushi product comes in frozen anyway to kill parasites so it’s actually pretty good and comparable. I think the thing is is going to the right place that is not letting the product sit around. sushi grade fish is often frozen to kill parasites and ensure it's safe to eat raw. The term "sushi grade" is unregulated and can be used as a marketing ploy, so it's not a reliable indicator of quality. However, the FDA does have guidelines for freezing fish for raw consumption, which include: Freezing at -31°F (-35°C) or below until solid Storing at -4°F (-20°C) or below for 24 hours Freezing known parasitic fish, like salmon, at 0°F for 7 days
