Man, this video has a bit of nostalgia for me: I'm not sure if this is just a Dutch thing, but gel pens were THE thing back when I was in elementary school. I swear, they made you the coolest kid in class for the day, everyone wanted to borrow them. We only had matte and glitter back in the day, though. Glad to see some metallics, because I'm such a sucker for metallic stationery.
I love the classic. Everytime i use it im transported back to intermediate school. Ooops, showing my age😀. But i really love the stardust too! Its the SPARKLE that gets me everytime!
I do have a green Sakura Gelly Roll Classic and also white Sakura Gelly Roll. They may seem ordinary but they are truly awesome, and their colors are so vibrant I couldn't help writing with Gelly Roll pens! Thanks Jetpens for featuring the Sakura Gelly Roll lineup. Feels like I'm going back to the 80's and the 90's.😉
I absolutely love these pens! I bought the kit with 70+ pens of all differentfinishes. Blue #436 is my go-to color: obsessed. These pens bring me joy every day!
for my bff's last bday I ordered from you guys, and I gifted her some of these pens (along with midori and a few other items) because I just had to share these awesome pens with her! I've loved them for ages!
I discovered I am an stationary otaku thanks to you. I just love to watch your channel and see the highlights/innovations/mechanisms of some products that I couldn't even notice inside a shop, because everything is packed. You do a great job! thank you!
The Glaze pens are definitely my favorite - I have them in every color they make. I sure wish they would make more colors & shades, I absolutely love them and the texture they add to my coloring pages!
I know I’m 2 years late but this is actually really helpful since I live near an art store with a bunch of Sakura gelly pens and I wasn’t sure which one I should buy. You’re channel is really underrated I just subscribed!
I probably have at least 70. I love them though! I use them everywhere! I’m gonna get a bujo and gonna cover it with them! Edit:my favourites are definitely the stardust! They are sooo pretty and I love to use them in my planner and on art projects!
Peanut butter Gelly- peanut butter Gelly- peanut butter Gelly with a baseball bat. You struck a home run with this video. What a great idea to write on photos with the 3D ink! 🤓
I had the blue and black one but I felt that It wasn't exam-friendly given that it took a while to dry and always would smudge. Nonetheless, it's one of the best gel pens for craft work! Hope you could do another brand line up (pilot line up etc)
I like them all there my favorite ones that are out of Japan plus there difrent from the China's gel pen set.I hope Japan will soon make them as a full set where it comes in a big pen stand so you can get all of them in set of 100
Do the new Moonlight colors glow well under a UV blacklight? I mostly do blacklight art and am especially curious about the sky blue and the lavender. I have the gray ones and the original 10 and they all glow, but was wondering about the new ones. Thanks!
Wow, it kinda surprises me. For an-originally-japanese-brand (am i right?) I'm kinda surprised that the japanese version that has less color/types. Usually it's the US ones. Though for me, if i buy at a local store (online or offline) both kinda confuses me, because some stores uses the japanese line and some stores uses the US lines. Because we dont have a branch company/supplier here.
does anyone remember some pens that were silver and then you rubbed them and changed colors? the most common i saw was silver to purple were they the silver shadow and we were just using them wrong??
Does anybody else struggle with them keeping their initial fluidity and line thickness? Many times they stop inking even if they are full of ink. I mean, does one need to finish them in a certain amount of time after the first use or do they need to be stored in a certain position? Thanks!
Hello, I am new to coloring for adults and just purchased a set of the 74 Gelly Roll pens. I like to organize my coloring supplies and when I received my pens they were all jumbled up in the sectioned box which is very nice quality wise. Do you know where I can get a guide that would tell me by sight how to categorize each pen so that I can organize them? I know the pens are marked but it is not easy to understand the various symbols or numbers on them and I could use a guide.
I have several of these in different finishes as I usually buy them singly. Some of them are not obvious which set they are from. How do I identify the Classic ones?
great video thank you! yet overwhelming for a beginner :)) which pens would you recommend for signing art photography prints? (suitable for both front and back side)
Depends on what effect you want. For a white pen, the Classic should work. If you want a glitter effect, the Stardust is good. The Moonlight and Souffle are opaque so those write well over watercolors. Hope this helps!
Hi What is difference between sakura blister card moonlight/ souffle and normal sakura moonlight/ souffle ? I know the difference between moonlight and souffle but what is blister card version in moonlight and souffle?
Hi there! If you're referring to Moonlight and Souffle pens that are packaged as a set, there is no difference between those pens and pens sold individually.
@@reshminair5502 A blister card (also known as a blister pack) is a kind of packaging. It uses a cardboard backing and a plastic "shell." We've never seen the term "Blister Card Moonlight" or "Blister Card Souffle," but we assume this refers to the Moonlight and Souffle pens that are packaged in a set. We hope that helps!
Wow! Thank you~ It would be a really big help for me since I'm planning to buy a set of one of their series but I don't have enough information at hand so I don't which to choose😂
The Classic Gelly Rolls work fine for note taking, but we recommend the Uni-ball Signo (www.jetpens.com/Uni-ball-Signo-UM-151-Gel-Pens/ct/286) or ballpoint pens like the Uni Jetstream (www.jetpens.com/Uni-Jetstream-Ballpoint-Pens/ct/354) for note taking!
