Despite popular belief, sakuya was always very powerful. Not only did you have block bypass on all but one move, there were not many ways to punish any of the moves. Knives 5 and 6 also did huge dmg with the orbs which tons of people seemingly never noticed and time stop mechanics which will always be powerful. To top it all off it has a combo escaper, avoiding any ToD combo, and a strong shield. No way someone is saying this is / was weak, not even the hp is bad, especially with the counter which effectively added 65 hp to the character, not even talking about how op that counter is now with a WAY lower cool down.

The main flaw of the old sakuya was that her time gauge simply filled too slowly, making a lot of her combos either inaccessible or too expensive, compared to other characters who can do higher damage without the need of a time gauge. That said, without the limitation of that gauge, she has always been powerful, just needed a small boost for people to take notice Edit: something I don’t see much people talking about is that sakuya’s moves in general might have gone cheaper. They require less time gauge to use, which is nice

i mean spear 4 you can just hold A or D and spear 1 you can either hold block if you have decent ping or just run around (personal experience both using and going against undyne), i get your point because most people that play rush characters are monkeys who just hold W and try to get closer so that may work but it's not for every single one

Unlock rk1 actually does still work from what i've played, you just have to use shift-lock Also SSC became kind of useless once knives 5 stopped hitting on knockdown, though a damage nerf was needed even if she can't reeeallly combo anymore

I'm pretty sure it was actually removed, cause "!rejoin" or "/rejoin" was a part of adonis, and when adonis was removed the rejoin command was removed with it

'sakuya is finally good' it always was good and it was never bad it never deserved the buff. hell it deserved a huge nerf to make it fair. well i guess you have to pay 1000 robux to get it but thats just p2w and fighting games isnt fun with p2w stuff

what nerf??? she’s literally the weakest hitting character in the game, hell, if you actually knew how to use her she is overpowered in a sense but not when it comes to damage, K5-K6 are prolly the closet thing to actual good damage with combos which is nice. People dont use those 2 moves as much because of their lag not letting them have the shit actually hit the opponent instead making K5 and K6 completely useless.

A huge nerf is definitely not required for sakuya, her moves were expensive to begin with. Nerfing that even further would make the time gauge useless and turn her into the only character incapable of doing more than 60 dmg in a single combo. There’s a reason why no one gives a damn about old sakuya, she’s too weak compared to the gods (gt chara, old sans, delta, old carrot god, etc) who can dish out more damage for less cost. Overall, some buffs are not really needed (some of her moves being cheaper to cast as her time gauge already fills faster), but most are definitely deserved
