I love Richard and Sal's prank phone calls. I definitely love the ones where they manage to slip in dirty fucking words, but the ones like this, where they are just being annoying, are my favorite. This isn't really that funny at first, but the longer it goes on, the funnier it gets! Like, why is this guy hanging on for so long?

I remember Richard and Sal explaining to Howard how they got this idea. Sometimes when they'd be listening to Tradio, long-haul truckers would call in and their cell phones would be so cheap that their calls often were hard to understand. So Sal and Richard took it one step further and came up with this.

If I had to list my top 5 prank calls from this show, this one absolutely takes a spot. Off the top of my head, some others would include Blue Iris calling the angry old southern lady, Richard's multiple voices, Swap Shop Rules Confusion, the two women reading the email items (Golden Showers shower head, RimJob tires, contractor dropping loads), and the one with Westinghouse Barometer. I know I'm forgetting a lot, so now I'm off to listen to them all again.

Richard and Sal know Howard very well and they play right to him with this call. Howard always picks on any clips with even slightly sub-par audio and this just took it to an extreme.

I can only imagine what the people who listened to this channel were thinking.
