As a new salamander player I appreciate the battle reports. An idea I have is maybe make a video about units in Firestorm. There are plenty of videos about what units are good but very few videos explain why choose unit A over unit B, what unit A brings to the list, etc. I find myself lost in the selection process of units and what to transport them in. For example, Aggressors in a land raider redeemer with a captain to charge into the enemy or the Adrax BGV combo? Why choose A over B, why not put adrax in an impulsor. Hopefully it paints a picture haha, just food for thought. Thank you for your time!
Adrax w/ Bladeguard really want a 2nd leader to hold the Champion of Humanity Enhancement (ignore modifiers besides modifiers to save). This allows them to hit super hard and be fairly universal; with rerolls to wound, +1 wound strat and potentially oath of moment. Impulsor is only transport capacity 7 so they can't fit the full unit with 2 leaders attached and doesn't have assault ramp ability like land raiders which can greatly increase the threat range on unit which natively comes with 6" mv
Furthermore aggressors benefit the same as adrax, but with the nerf to the captains ability it makes them slightly less efficient. The dev wounds torrent strat still costing 1cp when discounted instead of previously costing 0cp with free battle Tactic
@@KyleDudak I've considered throwing a Lt. in with the BGV a few times for the champion of humanity buff. It makes that unit super expensive however, and whereas it's useful, I'm not sure if it's useful enough to warrant removing a full unit of 5 JPI or something for the same cost.
