Really been enjoying the content lately. Glad to see you experimenting with different things in the videos, from the HUD to the funny captions "Just Bagooska", "No Sanctuary, No Problem", etc. Your videos always have so much personal charm
◼ You can play Spright Sprind and EM:P Meowmine too for adittional disruptions. If you have the correct hand, you can leave Mirage Stallio on the field too for an extra disruption with Spring. I prefer to use FIRE Charmer/S:P instead considering the deck has really tight the Extra Deck. ◼ If you see a card during replays that it's not in the final decklist I dropped simply. ◼ You can play without Rage and only use Charge as an adittional disruption in case you already have access to Roar, but I like the free wins against control decks.
Love the videos and all the information. I get so caught up in tiers. I know i shouldnt but i come from fighting games and we're always doing tier lists. Im a little confused though. One of your videos had a 8.5 at tier 1. Here we have an 8.3 at rogue. Ive been out of yugioh for a long time (10+ years. Getting back into it cause my nephew loves it), but the difference in the decimals, is it really that large or am i missing something? Other than that, again great video and stay blessed.
Pretty nice decklist. I would prefer if you played a bit more engine, like more copies of Weasel or Code of Soul because they are very essential to the deck and they are just free extenders (so you can play through interruptions and Weasel plays through Nibiru) and just remove some non-engine. I personally don't think the non-engine is really needed. The deck has wayyyyyy too many extenders so you can play through pretty much anything if you can have enough cards (which you will if you play them in multiples). And to conclude, I am extremely happy that we have finally arrived at the age without Desires. Ahhhhhhhh. What a time to be alive!
I was testing the same way you're thinking, but it really comes down to the point that a second Weasel/CoS is not more impactful than potential non-engine. For example weasel: It's super nice to draw it, but most hands can search it and go full combo while keeping it in hand as a backup plan for Nib
@@philippmeier3363 Nah man. Weasel is fantastic. He can trigger promethean and if you have an extra body besides Raging, you can destroy that to trigger raging from gy and summon pyro too and have raging search for a trap. Also, code of soul is essential for if your bale gets negated or your field spell is banished plus his gy is ABSOLUTELY BUSTED IN A LOT OF SITUATIONS. Oh and btw, there are lots of ways to search them and get them while in your combo, but as shown here, he doesn't play that much engine to do so, so he has only the starter and can't go into the more adcanced and better lines that often.
@NoirEmperor18 But I feel like one of each is enough to do that? I mean, you have enough recycling, and your first turn doesn't always grab both (because brick, because Interruption). All I'm saying: It's super nice to draw them, so that's an argument to play multiple copies of them. But I've also never missed the second copy in 100+ duels I had. But the great thing about Salad is that right now, there are so many different builds and choices which are not wrong, just different. It completely comes down to preference. For example, most people will say that Lady Debug is the best NS... But Salamangreat of Fire always works better for me
@@philippmeier3363 Ok. I see your point and I very much agree (on most stuff). I think it just ticked me off that Exordio claimed that this is a pure list while half the main deck is non-engine. Sure, it doesn't play other themes, but it still rubs me off the wrong way. As for the different variants, I can definetrly see that. Trust me, I have seen way too many versions of the deck that I don't really like, but I get what they are trying to do. Hell, before the recent support the deck was bascially heatsoul turbo and played WAYYYYY more non-engine. Also, WHO AM I TO TALK ABOUT OTHER VARIANTS? I have been testing (and very much liking) the FTK version recently, FOR FUCK'S SAKE!
@NoirEmperor18 I am also torn on the topic of non-engine. On one hand, I feel like salad can easily play 15-18 non-engine, and I think that full-combo needs at least one non-engine card to defeat Meta decks. On the other hand, as you said, more engine gives you so much gas to play through interruptions... It comes back to what I said earlier: I think there's no right or wrong build, just different ones which comes down to preference. Also, please don't ftk :( xD
Is there a noob friendly Shaddoll or Labrynth deck? I don't mind the cost, I'll build it slowly, I just wanna try those decks but they're kinda advanced for a vanilla like me
The version of labyrinth I enjoyed the most was the trap heavy one, works almost like a toolbox that lets me search whichever trap k need the most for each situation. It's not the most optimizer decklist but it got me to diamond 3 in this meta (if I had more time I do believe I could have reached master with it). I can share here if you would like! I do not play floodgates in the deck because I am just against that type of game design
4:35 That was a really really bad labrynth player. First, if the card you drew was a normal trap of arianna, you don't set it immediately to make it live off arias Second, he should have chained furniture to nib effect, so the board get wiped, you get no token and he has follow up for next turn
