4700 Euros net salary is quite high for Germany and very few people get this much salary. Now Czech Republic is more or the less equivalent than other Northern and Western European countries as the expenses are quite high in other countries. Even in those countries, the savings are quite less. For example in Norway, the prices are almost 2-2.5 times than Czech Republic. Looking at the savings is a wrong metric: People should look at the amount of stress required to earn the salary. When the stress and competition is higher, the salaries are also higher. It is better to save 1000 euros and be relaxed than to save 3000 euros and be anxious and stressed all the time. People stay back as they do not want to take stress of higher living costs and excessive competition in the job market.
Thanks for thoughts. All salaries are those which i get for my position. Stress in general is very similar for the same position but you are right that western europe in general is more expensive considering buying house or sending child to international school. But I believe there will be some significant rise of salary in czechia.
