Excellent travel Vlog, you guys keep doing you. You make this very old man very happy with your youthful joy and mutual love. That calamari looked exquisite, I get so mad when I see those fired onion ring versions of calamari and people saying this is good. Of course it is, I could slice up my old boots and deep fry them and they would be passable tasty. Grilled is a pure test of seafood(or maybe raw.. but not for me I am not that damn adventurous!)
ok bill, how did you get that shirt?! i want one that says "catch you later on the next one" or lisa's "hello". now i have to think your other catch phrases. ha!
I live near Salem I can't believe you guys are here love your channel! Go to Salem Willows try the chop seuy sandwiches and the tender steak sandwiches! Go to Hobbs get some ice cream and popcorn bars are my favorite! How come you didn't stay at the haunted hotel the Hawthorne Hotel. There is a new hotel a Hampton Inn right on Dodge St.
I wouldn't want to walk up that steep hill either! You two are such a great couple. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us! Have you ever considered doing a video on how the two of you met, dating, wedding pics, etc...? That would be a fun one for your anniversary! 💖🤗 Blessings, Washington State 🙏🌲🇺🇸 P.S. Lisa looks great in that bright orange shirt!
Um Idk about this one 😐…. creepy! I wouldn’t have stayed in the hotel either 😅they mentioned spirits like it was a happy occurrence 🤣 Love Lisa’s Halloween shirt!
All the years we lived in chicopee ma..my birthday falls oct 17( my only wish for gift was to stay in lizzie bordens house)..hubby had two words..hell no😆😆he was too dang scared, esp since our cat resembles the cat known to roam the property!😳
Tragic chapter for Women in our history. I didn’t know a memorial existed with names. Definitely going there to pay tribute and remember the importance of protecting Women’s rights as well as our freedoms in general. THANK YOU!!!
I couldn't agree more! Fall in New England is the best! Have been to Salem numerous with my parents when I was a teen. The House of the Seven Gables is also a fun place to visit. Gee, this was an unexpected surprise for me from you two! Thanks! xox P.S. I have had loco moco on the brain since you guys were in Hawaii! I MUST make it. lol
Lisa mentioned off camera it was peaceful to her. I thought it was a bit too coincidental that a bunch of crows were making noise when I started to venture up the hill. 🤷🏻♂️
I see you've posted part 2 of your visit and also see you have a video from a year ago. As a direct descendant of not only of Roger Conant, Mary Estey, Susannah Martin and Rebecca Nurse, I'm also the nephew by marriage of John Proctor and Elizabeth How - plus about 40 others connected to the hysteria within 1 genealogical degree - I was really concerned about you guys focusing on the Wiccan, New Age and kitschy touristy garbage that denigrates what actually happened there. Part 1 made me so happy that you kept that aspect to a minimum and focused on the important parts - Proctors ledge and the food!
Love the video! You guys always have fun! But the wireless mics seem a little low on sound and Lisa was pretty hard to hear. Can’t wait for the next vid!
Hi guys! I'm planning a trip with my grand daughter to Salem for Halloween and am wondering how you got from Boston(which airport?) To Salem? I would really appreciate that info!😃❤ Thank you....
Hello Bill & Lisa, my family is from Massachusetrs. Northborough, Woescter, Barre. Beautuful state. I have a female ancestor who was in the Salem Witch Trial, she was with baby, think spared. John Proctor still haunts his home, Proctor House. Salem, MA very haunted city. Those people who were hanged had intuituve abilities only. They were not possessed or evil..Very sad their souls were unjustly killed. I have never been there, but would like to. I have been to beautiful Plymouth, Sturbridge, Cape Code, Northborough, Worcester. My daughter and I have and warch movie Hocus Pocus. We live in Big Bear 🐻 Lake, CA now. What a fun video to watch. Sturbridge Village is gorgeous, you can walk through Village a recreation of life during that period, restaurants, shops there. Yes, Salem is such a popular town, Fall more expensive, beautiful. Got to try fried clams back there...plus chocolate co there makes milk & white chocolate, in boxes delicious very creamy. You cannot go wrong with seafood back there, lobster rolls, seafood plates, clams, shrimp, scallops, crab ...all great. Wish I was there. Thank you
I used to live in Crestline California. 623 Knoll Dr. Near the library. Goodwins market, Jensons market in Blue Jay, Stater Brothers in Lake Arrowhead. Small world 🌎 ❤
I live about 1 hr from Salem. It is an awesome place to visit and explore anytime of year. October now is way too busy so it’s nice you are missing the crazy crowds. Thanks for visiting my part of the world!!🎃👻👹
You are a Beautiful couple 💑 I have had spirit encounters. My dog, my CAT, my mother. I am HIGHLY psychic. The REAL thing. Born this way 👶 GREAT vid. 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👻🐍 😠 👹🎃 😈 🕯 🔥
We like them overall. In Part 2 (dropping Sunday), we got to test them out in a moderately windy area. If anything, volume seems to be a bit low and I find myself increasing it in post. Mics have several gain settings, still playing around with it.
@@billandlisa good to know. We definitely need to do something in some of the loud restaurants and in the wind. New England might be a great chance to mess with them a bit
The Salem witch trials . The hotel is expensive. The squid looks good.that lobster looks excellent. Chicken parmigiana looks exceptional the ghost was taking a piss in the chimney ?
One of my favorite videos. It was great to see you in in Salem and showing such respect for those poor victims of the witch trials. Can't wait for part 2 and 3?
That black door is where the hired help came in and out of the house in the 1800's, did all their work preparation, cooking, taking in groceries from delivery boys, taking in coal, doing laundry, and storing cleaning supplies.
if you want the best Italian food in the world, go to Utica, NY. even Italians from Italy say Utica has the best Italian food:) The half moon cookie that someone in NYC tried to imitate and call black & whites is also the best!
One of my dream vacations, a week in Boston, then want to take a drive to Salem and explore for 3 days, then head over to Lizzie Borden's house and visit that neighborhood for 3 days. Maybe next year.
Can you do a shout out for my dad Jerry in Hayward, CA - his birthday is Sept 26 - my mom and dad watch you guys all the time and introduced your channel to me - we love all your videos. He is headed to Las Vegas to celebrate - they like to look out for you guys 😛
Your RU-vid channel is my favorite. I look forward to it and hope something new has been posted, everyday. Thank you for your infectious positivity. Have you read Arthur Miller's The Crucible? You will see familiar names like Sarah Good and Martha Corey in his play.
Miller wrote the Crucible as a metaphor for the Hollywood red scare. There's a bunch on things wrong like Proctor actually being in his 60s while Abigail Williams was in 11 or 12. A much more historically accurate portrayal is Three Sovereigns for Sarah which focuses on my ggms Mary Estey, Rebecca Nurse and my gga Sarah Cloyse.
Not to far away Lizzie Borden, was tried and acquitted in 1893 of slaughtering her father and stepmother, and yet the skipping rhyme named for her has enshrined her in American mythology: “Lizzie Borden took an axe and gave her mother 40 whacks. When she saw what she had done, she gave her father 41
WOW - sad history 🙁. Thanks for taking us to Salem; what a time that was. Your trip looked fun overall along with the room fireplace. Those places back east are so much older and packed with history. Thanks Bill n Lisa. I always enjoy your videos when you explore the local area. 🎃🎃🎃🎵🎼🎶🎥🎞📽🎬📸💡🔦☕☕☕🦋🌻💐🍀😊😉😁😃😄😎😇🤭💑👋👌👍🧡💥💦💫🕶👟🥿 PS: I always enjoy the Disney shirts Lisa 🥳 Mics are great!
Hi Bill and Lisa, my wife Simone and I watch you all the time. We are from Maine so its fun to watch you do some stuff in our neck of the woods here in New England. We went to Salem back in 2016 ( did a small musical vlog/montage on it). We also stayed at the Salem Inn. Its a cool little Inn, and we enjoyed our stay. Salem has so much history. We enjoyed the reenactments, the old haunted buildings and the waterfront. Although I don't enjoy seafood I gotta say it looked great. I would have loved the Parm for sure. The price was very good, especially for the area. Really had fun watching you do this vlog. Thanks !
This visit is deeply meaningful to me as a person of deep faith. I have a namesake resting there. Thank you for your respectful and loving attention to these souls. 💖💐
LOVE This video. Cute hotel. Love the sights. And the Italian food looked amazing. Never had grilled calamari, looked great. Can't wait to see the other parts of your stay here. Love you two.
Wow, so glad you made it back to Salem. Figured the hotel would be haunted. Think you did experience some paranormal activity when editing. Can't wait to watch part 2.
Seriously, it’s no joke. Between that, the crows making noise as we explored the hill, and a dream/nightmare I had on the second night, it’s all nothing to laugh about. Part 2 will drop Sunday.
Do you, Bill and Lisa, have any food allergies or intolerances/issues? You seem to be lucky enough to eat all kinds of rich food without much issues... I barely see much of you talking about food poisoning etc. or getting sick in general.
I am excited to see you in Salem! We are being crazy and going for Halloween!! It will be my first visit so it’s nice to get some insight before we get there when it’s packed. Have fun!
Be sure to google if Laurie Cabbot, the Salem offical WITCH is still there, and alive. She has written books 📚 on witchcraft 🕯 🕯 Beautiful lady. Enjoy your visit. I have never been there. Unless I was one of the witches put to death.
I’m kind of a scaredy-cat when it comes to ghosts and haunted places, but I appreciate your showing us around. Love New England in the fall! Also, just wanted to say your Halloween-themed intro is great 👍🏼 Thank you and I look forward to your next video!
Thanks for the tour. Being from Boston the city of Peabody is pronounced (Pee-ba-dee). We don't say things the way you might think 🤣 If you want a laugh watch Seth Myers Boston Accent ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rLwbzGyC6t4.html
I just Googled/skimmed "80 Best Witch Puns And Jokes" to make the ultimate RU-vid comment and they were all lame. Those mosquitos at 4:05 made me feel itchy.
