Great video! I found myself breaking 6 figures in my third year (2 yrs 3 months Exp.) and it isn't surprising when you look at the market rate! I'm at 3.5 years experience now and definitely considering the advantages of the freelance market. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Brad for this content. I’m currently interning at Salesforce and I decided earlier today that I will focus full force on getting my Salesforce Admin and I believe what you are saying and I am hoping for any advice as I am working my way to taking my exam before my internship is over.

Asked a question a couple of days and appreciate you answering so quickly, but I followed up to your question with another account by accident. So yes I would like to finish my college degree in Business IT in around 1.5-2 years, but I was wondering what I could do now in this field of Salesforce or remote work to create a stable career where I can still focus on my religious studies. I am not technically looking for a job just yet, but some volunteer work or experience would be nice. Just some overall advice for the future from a professional like you. Love your content!
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 3 года назад
Thanks! Well for starters you could join our 6-month program and I requires about 10 hours of dedication each week. That would get you to a point where you are certified and prepared to land a job whenever you're ready including volunteer experience etc. If you don't want to make a financial investment necessarily then I would focus on maybe getting a certification or two as you finish out your studies. This would definitely give you a leg up and you could use tools like volunteermatch.com to try and get some Salesforce volunteer opportunities as you move through college. Then when you finish college you'll be in a great position to have Salesforce on your resume as well as certifications to show your skill!

Great content!! Pls continue:) Wondering let’s at Yr 8 making 220k; how many clients were you working with? And How did you manage to work at multiple jobs at same time? How Meetings/Priorities etc were handled ? :)
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 3 года назад
I had 3 major clients at that point and some side clients here and there. Managing then is simply time management. Consultants always have multiple clients it’s the nature of consulting even with firms. You work with multiple companies a few hours per week. It takes practice but you learn to juggle it :)
@mockdux
@mockdux 3 года назад
Can you do a short video explaining the concept of “billable hours” when consulting.
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 3 года назад
Yeah I can do that. What exactly are you hoping to have explained. The concept of it I can handle but want to make sure I cover any points of contention.
@mockdux
@mockdux 3 года назад
@@SalesforceForEveryone I have never been a consultant but I hear from friends that they have a billable expectation that rates their performance with the firm. It's very bad to drop below that. However, many things are not charged to the client. So teaching candidates to inquire about billable expectations in a final round interview or when offers are on the table could be valuable to knowing if you're signing up for 50 hr/wk or 65 hr/week. For example I know a "Part Time" lawyer expected to bill 36 hours per week. All other learning and some research comes outside those hours. So, I kind of covered it in this comment, but I think your perspective will be more valuable in a short 5-10 min explainer video. Especially since I only have hearsay stories.
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 3 года назад
Hahaha your hearsay is spot on. But yes I can do that. It's definitely something people should be aware of. And it's absolutely true.

Hi Brad, thank for the video but here's the thing... Got ADM201 certified in Aug. Have ranger rank in trailhead and superbadges. Also volunteer for a company as an admin/consultant - but still can’t get hired. Been job hunting for 3 months and nothing. Employers want more experience, but don’t want to give the opportunity to gain experience. Suggestions?
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 3 года назад
If you've done all those things and have the experience from the volunteer project and it's actually good volunteer experience. I'm surprised that you're having trouble considering at the moment there are tens of thousands of openings across the United States. Where are you located? If you're located in the United States, I would have to assume that there is something else that is the issue and they are using a lack of experience as an excuse. We also want to make sure that you're applying for jobs that you are qualified for. We also want to make sure that you are strong interviewer and understand how to explain the value that you bring. Another thing is we want to make sure that your LinkedIn profile and resume are on point and showcase the value that you bring to potential employers. Do you feel confident that you're doing those things properly?

Hi Brad I have already spent 2 months preparing for Admin Cert, from another institute. I would love to be a part of this 60k vision. How can I take advantage of these 2 months already invested? Can I go for Certification on my own and then seek your guidance for the rest of the program straightaway?
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 3 года назад
There's no loss at all! Most of our members finish the program in about 4 months. In your case it sounds like you're prepped to finish off your path to getting yourselves for certification, you can utilize our program to cross the finish line extremely quickly. You will then be able to dive in and fast track the rest of the process and land your first job much faster than 6 months. Let me know if you have any questions! I look forward to having you join!

Hi! Is consultancy the only way to start a salesforce career? I would like to work as admin in the future but I've never used salesforce before. I work in hospitality at the moment and I started to do trailheads for salesforce administrator in march but I literally didn't know what is going on there (english is not my first language too). I'm currently on admin intermediate and just now I managed to catch the basics of this platform. I'm a bit disappointed of myself, do you have any advices? Is it possible to swap a career so dramatically? I don't know any coding languages neither. Thank you

This is absolutely a fit for you. Check out our other videos highlighting individuals starting their Salesforce careers! Every single one of them is transitioning from some other background, with no tech skills and no tech degrees etc... Specifically take a look at Anita Smith she also transitioned from hospitality and is dominating her Salesforce career!
