The Salesforce ecosystem is expected to create over 3.3 million new software jobs by 2022.
The demand for people who are willing to learn Salesforce is growing day by day and isn't expected to slow down anytime soon.
By 2022 you'll wish you had learned Salesforce. So don't wait until then. Start learning now!
Salesforce is for anybody that's willing to learn, grow, and change their lives.
I started out in the Salesforce world with an internship in Dallas TX, and my life has changed tremendously since then. The skills I took from that internship catapulted me to my first full-time job straight out of college, and after working at that 9-5 job for nearly 2 years, I got a full-time work from home job and now live in San Diego.
The weather is awesome, the work is awesome, the skills that I'm developing are amazing, and the opportunity for growth is at an all-time high in the ever-growing and ever-changing tech world.
If you have any questions and want to learn more about Salesforce, leave comments below and let me know what you'd like to learn!
And who knows, I might make a video about the topic you want to learn more about!

@MinuteAdmin

I started off in Salesforce admin first. But you dont have to get the salesforce admin or service cloud cert to get the marketing cloud certs. They're different clouds under the salesforce ecosystem, so you can get them separately. If you want - you can go your whole career and just get the marketing cloud certs and never get the salesforce admin cert if you want to.

Hey Clayton, thanks! Yeah I went to college but didn't know anything about Salesforce until my ex-girlfriend's mom told me about it my last semester in college back in 2017. They helped me get an internship in Dallas and at the internship I got the Salesforce Admin and Sales Cloud Consultant certs. It's been on and poppin since then brother! Everything I've learned has been learned from 1 of these things: 1. Trailhead.Salesforce.com 2. Google 3. Official Help Docs Other than real world practice with Superbadges / real projects, those are the sites you need to learn Salesforce. Also go through my "Salesforce Beginner" RU-vid playlist to get going in Salesforce if you or someone you know is brand new and needs to see how to get your foot in the door of the Salesforce world.

@MinuteAdmin

I would definitely do some training before applying for any tech position. However, the training you take can vary. For example, you could do a course presented by an instructor, or you could literally just do Trailhead.Salesforce.com and do the Admin Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced trails and learn from that and RU-vid. Or you can do all the Marketing Cloud trails and watch all my videos on this channel. It's all up to you on how you want to learn Salesforce.

Do you think the job market for Salesforce developers is saturated. I am a web developer looking to get into Salesforce.
@MinuteAdmin
@MinuteAdmin 3 года назад
Not at all, especially if you're a developer. You just need to know how to position yourself for jobs. Step 1 -> Make a really good LinkedIn with good keywords in your bio and job title. Recrutiers look for that and you'll get noticed more if you have good keywords in your LinkedIn profile. (Example -> Salesforce Sales Cloud Developer or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer). Those are amazing keywords to put in your title. Step 2 -> Create accounts at MasonFrank International and Computer Futures and other job posting sites like Monster and Indeed and ZipRecruiter and upload your most recent resume on those sites and you'll start getting phone calls from them to hire you for jobs without you having to apply for tons of jobs all the time. The more places you put your resume and show up on, the more you'll get job offers. Step 3 -> Learn how to structure your resume by reading the book called "Get Hired Now" by the founder of ZipRecruiter and learn how to get past the algorithims on these job posting websites. Hope that helps. So the answer is that you are in high demand and companies will pay you BANK if you put yourself out there as a web developer. You should be making at least $110,000 per year if you have that sort of background and you should be getting lots of job offers every month if you position yourself right.

How many projects have you done? 3. Are you good at negotiating? (This will determine your salary more than the other 2 above combined). Gotta be able to understand the platform enough to have a conversation about it in an interview. I’d recommend doing a trailmix on trailhead and go through all of it and get an understanding of the area of salesforce you want to work in and then be able to talk about what you learned. You don’t have to have tons of real world experience if you actually know what you’re talking about by learning it on trailhead or RU-vid or Udemy or through some other online course.

It depends on what you want to do in Salesforce. I advise everyone to get at least one certification that relates to the cloud they want to learn in Salesforce. So if you want to be a sell Marketing Cloud, then get the Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification. If you want to be in Salesforce CPQ, then get the CPQ certification. It all depends on what you want to do in Salesforce. The ecosystem is HUGE. Make sure you go in with a plan. You'll succeed much faster. Also, go to Trailhead.salesforce.com and learn about the different roles in the ecosystem.

How do i get into this role at Salesforce?
@MinuteAdmin

I’ll make a video answering this. If you want to work at salesforce, you’ll need to know how to get into the company. There are so many other options out there besides working specifically for salesforce, but I’ll cover that in a video. Turn on post notifications and you’ll see me answer this question really soon!

Can you please share how to start training for salesforce developer?
@MinuteAdmin

The best place to start is on trailhead.salesforce.com . You can learn so much on that website, it's crazy. And it's all free. That would be the first place to start. After you've gone through the salesforce developer trails, hit me up!

I want to be a consultant… can you map out the path I should talk… can anyone who reads this please.
@MinuteAdmin
@MinuteAdmin 3 года назад
Step 1 -> Get your basic certification (If you're doing the Salesforce Sales Cloud side of things, get the Salesforce admin cert. If you're doing Marketing Cloud, get the Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Cert. Step 2 -> Then learn how to turn Business requirements into technical Salesforce solutions - That's the biggest skill for a consultant to have. Step 3 -> Go to AppExchange and look for companies that are hiring consultants. Or go to Linkedin and connect with other consultants at companies like Accenture or Deloitte and make friends with them and send them messages to ask what it's like for them and get a warm connection. Do this naturally and make sure you don't come off like you're just talking to them to get a job. Actually get to know them. It's a long term game. Step 4 -> Read the book called "Get Hired Now" by the founder of Zip Recruiter and learn how the algorithims filter people out for jobs so you can get past the computers and get seen with a good resume. Step 5 -> Read "Never Split the Difference" and learn how to negotiate and get a 6 figure salary. Obviously that's the way to do it in a nutshell but you'll have to put in the work to do all those steps and get your hands dirty playing in Salesforce. I would recommend you watch this video before jumping into just being a consultant: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4ECKNf27iEw.html

Where have you been applying to and what has been your approach? Those are 2 important variables that will determine a lot! There's a strategy you have to follow and if you do, you'll tap into all the open jobs and get your pick of the litter.

What degree do you recommend to be a consultant
@MinuteAdmin
@MinuteAdmin 4 года назад
No degree required brotha! Get the certs and gain that experience. I have a bachelors in Economics and a masters degree in data science and don’t use it at all. In the tech industry, they care about product specific certifications and practical experience. If you show that you have those, you’re golden.
