Proud to be African... it's in my blood... I can't help it... my body moves like crazy... my roots... my ancestors calling from above... my Africa... the smell of the land... the sound of the waves... it's magic...
I am from Chile and I have been following to Salif Keita since 10 years ago, also I was in his live show in Santiago 3 or 4 years ago and most people was enchanted by Keita. He is one of great musician in the world, with such soul and authentic Africa in his blood and voice, the joy, the sorrow, a real master.... I love his music and Madan is one of my favorite songs.. God bless him
I heard this song first in 2003 in cotonou, Benin Republic. Fell in love with it instantly, and now there are Afrohouse versions as well.Kudos Salif Keita and best wishes from Nigeria 🇳🇬

I have decided i'm going to be learning Bambara. Our cultures are almost the same but we have different languages and its a great thing that at some point we can give a break to this european languages when communicating with each other. much love from east Africa
Heard this for first time in a busy cafeteria in 2003 and boi did it capture my mind and soul!!! Not from Africa nor understood a single word but felt deeply connected 🥰🙌🙏
This is definitely part of the biggest hits of the world music... Hope that younger generations from western countries listen to this... And may be if the eastern europe starts to open to the world, they will listen to this... 😉
Mama Africa en toute beauté authenticité et profondeur historique ❤️❤️❤️❤️💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻,que Dieu la bénisse et la préserve. Peace & Love from Morocco 🇲🇦✌🏻✌🏻
@ogijoo as a turkish, i love listening Mr.Keita, M.Diabete , Farafina and many others. These guys are really driving the human spirit forward. Gorgeous voices, gorgeous sounds, increadible songs... Whoever or whatever they believe, let them be blessed by...I love all of them, proud to praise african culture...the real roots of life and humanity itself.
Heard the song a long, long time ago for the first time (a mother that took African dance classes...), forgot who made it and always thought in the years after that this was made by Mory Kante (*fp*). Have been looking for years under the wrong name. I didn't know the prince has albinism...
He he! When we (my friends and I) were teenagers involved in football more intensively than now, we used to jokingly sing this song by telling the name of one French footballer from Reunion. SINAMA PONGOLLE! SINAMA PONGOLLE! As a matter of fact, I'll always be sorry for not understanding some of African languages because I love various African music (singers especially) which I don't understand. Such a pity. Peace from Banja Luka!
I applaud him for what he is doing in Africa to educate people about albinism. People with albinism are discriminated against and often killed. He has a foundation which teaches about vision and skin care and to teach others that people with albinism are human beings. I teach mu students with visual impairments to use him as an example of how they can succeed in a world where they are different.
Einfach nur genial, dieser wunderbare Musiker und sein Groove! Das ist Weltmusik, weil afrikanische Musik doch für Vieles einfach der Ursprung ist. Irgendwie klingt es wie Ur-Rhytmus! Danke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ilfriendly No way, This American, LOVESSSSSSSSSSS the sound of this music. The voice is tranquil and the music calls to you. I listen to it over and over again. SO the people that do not like it are not necessarily "Americans", but ones with a different taste in music.
