What a muppet she was. Not only did she escalate for no reason but then she kept digging the hole even when she realised she'd screwed up. As always, you handled that perfectly. Her colleague also made her look stupid by telling you there was no problem

That she went STRAIGHTFORWARD to section 50, that she does NOT appreciate the power and reasoning for it, shows a clear and present danger to anyone working with her. She will use a 'gobby' attitude to anyone that she thinks her partner will have to deal with. GET HER OFF THE STREETS.

I also note the complicity that should be reported too, as no-one stepped in to correct or stop her. I’m from Salisbury we used to have a big police station but it was sold and the police ended up in the council offices. The gardens been there years and is known as the secret garden. Love watching you and I’m so glad you put her in her place 👍

Should have told the PCSO to get someone with more authority, like a librarian or a bin man.

Section 50 requires that she reasonably suspects that you have engaged in antisocial behaviour. She didn't have any grounds to suspect that, she just expected that you would be ignorant of the law and take her word for it that you would be committing an offense by not giving details. She tried to deceive you and coerce you into waiving your rights and giving her your personal information, to which she had no lawful right. The male Officer who intervened after that was very good to be fair.

I though you were leaving oscar at home from now on as he get upset when the coppers start shouting at you, I have always loved your approach when dealing with the police, you start off pretending you dont know the law - but as soon as the coppers start throwing vague laws at you then you go to town on them - keep us up to date on how the compaint went - although all she will get is "words of advice"

It was priceless the way her attitude changed once she realised you weren’t going to fall for her lies (well she still had an attitude but ended up walking off with her tail between her legs, unlike Oscar).

isn't it amazing though how a copper will try to take advantage and will happily break the law when they think you're a little bit dim, then suddenly switch on the camera and do a 180 when they realise you aren't a dim as they thought.

You could have also pushed her questioning about if you had a car, why she was pushing that highlights she wanted to search for it to acquire your details that way, and she was saying its a long way to walk the dog as a tool to say you were lying to give her investigation more credibility. Officers like that are worse than worthless, they are a thorn in the side of the good officers and getting these types of individuals off the force is what auditors are trying to do, so stop with the assuming auditors are some kind of criminal when its the complete opposite. You lot want to be seen by the public as good for the community then reach out and give auditors the opportunity to highlight the bad one's you lot know are in the force, if you dont want to do that then you simply dont care your colleagues are potentially creating crimes, instigating negative views of the police and potentially ruining lives by incriminating innocent members of the public.

I think her committing an offense under section 26 is really appalling and she should be judged and go to jail for acting like that in an authoritarian role but we all know nothing will happen to her, lying about the law and abusing it to violate people's rights is disgusting and extremely common
