Not so beloved. Burt Reynolds spoke only beautiful things about her. They had a pretty long relationship. She !makes fun of his memory and tries to say she was never that in love with him. Like all these tell all books and movies, I hate ragging on someone who can no longer defend themselves. Poor taste.
At least half of this was complete repetition although the original info was interesting. Remember, less is more. You might also want to consider dropping how cool and awesome
Sally n burt should have stayed together they made a good couple Sally field is a really good actress luv all.her movies Sally field n James garner were a good couple to ❤
That doesnt say any thing about burt renyolds and i thot this said and now sally fields tells the secret and it shows burt Reynolds so apparently it was just a tease or u lied.
I disagree, "Mrs. Doubtfire" is Sally's least significant role. As you have mentioned, many of her roles exemplified her acting chops much more; especially her "Norma Rae" and "Sybil" roles
Sally Fields is one of the best actresses in Hollywood. She could play ANY roll given to her and made that roll hers, she would put her own little tweak on it. I just always loved her acting.
@@paisley293 Thanks very much for being compassionate enough to take time to respond💚💟💛God bless you- just wondered why original commenter here says "'loved"' her acting past tense, like she's gone instead of*love* her acting
@Melinda Yes, I remember him on one of the talk shows (Johnny Carson ?) saying Dinah Shore was the love of his life and he should have married her. Were they both being a little loose with the truth ( “color me pink” ) just to save face ?
@@LucyLennon20 Yes you are correct lucy thank you for reminding me, It's been a long time since I have seen it. And I have forgotten that it was a t v movie.
Burt wouldn't have proposed to her if he wasn't "into" her. I think it was Sally's insecurities that blocked the marriage. You can see how much they adored each other, their chemistry was great.
Yes,but Sally was Lucky, she didn't marry her,he would have messed up, by going to the next women"; trueove Sally She is the Best,ALWAY'S has been,No body can hold a candle to her'!
Thank you for this. as a young girl growing in the 1970's Smoky and the Bandit was hot. Sally was the perfect fit for Burt . It didn't take a rocket scientist to see their chemistry explode. It was because of the 'Lady in her and the manliness in him in their action and drama, their romance, there would not have been any denying of their real life romance existed. They were that good. And as a young girl, I have to admit I saw what love was and it was wholesome. the fun loving side of Sally, was just that , Fun. yet she rarely displayed any kind of brash hint of taboo appeal. Because she didn't need to. Because, she is sally Fields.
Yes I thought there was something good between them unfortunately never worked out. I think the acting business is a hard place for long term relationships.
Sally is fantastic and in many of her shows and movies she is adorable. However her facination with Burt Reynolds always disrtubed me. I thought she was smarter than that. He was so egotistical not as an act but in real life. She never woke up about him it seems. She always went back in for the battle. What to convice him to treat her better? It would never happen. There are a lot of good fun guys out there who would have been great matches for her and her abilities. They would have really found her special and treated her as such. I hope she finds one and sees the different.
In a Playboy interview Fields confessed Tommy Lee Jones beat her on set in front of the entire cast/crew and NO ONE did anything, This is a stark reminder of the 70s and how this man deserves no work and no respect.
That movie they were in together was 1980/1981. She was still dating Burt. Do you think Burt would have actually let that happen?! Burt loved Sally, even after they broke up. He would have killed anyone who hurt her!
She is a great actresses. I loved her in flying nun. As silly as it seems now, I used to fantasize I was her when I was a child. I just disliked her in “not without my daughter “. I thought her decision to take that part showed a lack of judgement. That’s why I had thought she must have been a republican to have chosen that movie, to show disrespect to a nation and Iranian people. I am surprised she is a fellow Democrat. Well I guess everyone makes one mistake every now and then.
She’s just incredible-Her home life was so horrible at times-listened to her narrate ‘in pieces’, and it was very difficult at times with what she went through.
I think people go through things together that just don’t quite mesh. But it doesn’t mean that they don’t love each other. It’s hard to live with someone you hardly know. You can live with someone forever and never know that person. But love is still there❤
Apart from smokey and the bandit....my absolute favorite she was in was Murphy's Romance....she and James Garner really worked well together. She is a really good actress. Really hated to see Burt go. He was another fav of mine.....RIP Bandit.
I was born on her birthday, one year later. I Always watched everything she was in! I remember when Lucy’s son, Desi junior wanted to date her. Lucy called her a “Loser” and refused to allow him to date her. SHE’S DEFINITELY NOT A LOSER! ❤🎉
I LOVE SALLY FIELD!!! THE FLYING NUN, NORMA RAE, FOREST GUMP., SOAP DISH. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE MY GIDGET!!!! SHE'S MY FOREVER CRUSH!!!!!!! SHE'S MY BABY TIL I DIE!!
It’s hard for people to have too busy big careers and make it in Hollywood not that people don’t but it’s still hard. And I think Burt Reynolds was a bigger than life person on screen and off screen and it made it hard and some guys just like messing around, doesn’t matter. All the fallout that comes from it.
I wish they could have got together. I think they both really loved each other we're afraid to commit to each other because of hurtling each other. I know he loved her very much. He always talked about her and I know she loved him. And when you do Go through a childhoodproblem like she did, it never goes away. I did and it never went away. I'm still haveing Problems dealing with it
I was disappointed in Sally with her hookup with Reynolds. We all knew he was a player; players never change they just get old. But women always want to believe the lie.
Really disappointed and disgusted learning that her stepdad abused her… Loved his series, “Yancy Derringer…” Sally is a great actress and a great person!!
Reynold's career was over when he was exposed for the abusive person that he was. When he beat the hell out of Loni Anderson it exposed him for who he was.
