There was a time when Salman Khan was unanimously loved by the country... when he was the 'Prem' of Hindi cinema. Before the 2003 incident.. Salman was as loved and respected, as probably Shahrukh or Govinda.. After that accident, everything changed and the 'bad boy' image became more prominent. News was rife with incidents of Salman fighting with the media, beating up his exes, spats with co actors.. his image was never the same after 2003. 2003-2009 was a period of professional lull also where most of his films were disasters and inferior to what Salman's films used to be in the 90s. Dus Ka Dum in 2008 is when the change started happening for Salman's career.. Wanted (2009) was a sleeper hit.. but it was Dabangg in 2010 that gave a full-fledged rebirth to Salman Khan's career. Ever since then there has been no looking back career wise and even otherwise.. but the shadow of 2003 and other controversies that happened in early 2000s loom over him till date.
