I’m confused. It’s been suggested the original cause behind the Columbia university protest, was the launching of Global centre of study,,by Columbia university in association with Tel Avia university, with 40 students enrolled. Admission for Palestinian students is -allegedly barred. In response to this, the student’s original letter of demands, requested Columbia university divest themselves from this joint venture, as the students considered this to be the re-introduction of Jim Crow’ into educational spaces, via the back door, and that these alleged circumstances have become obscured along the way..

Rushdie is such a legend and a fantastic author. As a free speech loving nation, we should be proud to tolerate his work and condemn those who can’t handle minor challenges or criticism. They will not dictate expression.
