Glad to see you back Alex. I've been doing research on Ts for most of my life now and I'll be 30 next year, but just this year May 26th I've gotten my first T so I guess I'm new to the hobby. Then June 3rd happened and got my second 😂 probobly will have my 3rd very soon. You don't have to apologize though for the lack of content and taking a break you do you and take care of your family and self.

At what point does she lay the eggs? It looked to me like she laid the silk down in a mat, then put urticating hairs in it as she rolled it up. I was expecting to see her make the mat, lay the eggs on the mat and then roll it up with the urticating hairs. So does she lay the eggs as shes making the mat? Like eggs, silk layer, eggs, silk layer and so on, then she rolls it up after shes done? I think Ts are so cool. Im a bad arachnophobe, but for some reason the slower moving fuzzy new world species dont set me off. (Cant be said for the fast less fuzzy old worlds) Even their slings dont bother me. I dont think Id want one on me, but as a display pet theyd be awesome. Ive never had a T but Ive had many, many mantids I rescued from parking lots. Where I live they can get a full grown female can get 4-5 inches long, easy.and also bred them (you get the same issue with male mantids as you do male Ts.) ) and had successfully hatched ootheca. Ive also have 2 emperor scorpions and a wild caught armadillidium vulgare colony ive been selectively breeding to see if I can get them pale grey and yellow.

Slow down the reeling, mate, the fish almost flies out of the water. You will lose the bigger fish by that, or can lose them. :D
