You should always be afraid to cook something like that because you never know if you cooked it properly or if it’s cleaned out properly. I had salmonella poisoning May 2023 Memorial Day weekend, it came from eating turkey patties that were contaminated with the bacteria. I cooked them all the way and made sure I got them cooked properly but they were not cleaned out and I was very sick. I ended up in the emergency room 2 days after eating the turkey patties, with severe stomach pain and severe diarrhea, that place didn’t help me because they said it’s food poisoning and it would runs its course. I go to a different doctor and that’s when they made the discovery of the salmonella in my stomach but at that point the salmonella had reached my lungs because the doctor said there was fluid in my lungs and that scared me. She said that the salmonella was moving so fast and that we had to move quickly because I was in trouble. I was on 4 different medications for 3-4 weeks and I had to drink PediaSure along with it. My recommendation for you is to just have your food cooked and ready at the store and not to cook it at home. The cooks know more than us on how or cook it.
