PURE BEAUTY, GRACE, CLASS, STYLE, GRANDEUR, ELEGANCE, SOPHISTICATION...........and that's just putting it mildly. I cannot possibly thank you enough for uploading this piece of *ETHEREAL BRILLIANCE*, which easily scores 99 out of 100!!!!! Other productions of 'Salome' don't even deserve 9 out of 100. Comparing *THIS* with the other versions out there is like comparing *A STAR FROM THE HEAVENS* with a piece of ROTTING GARBAGE in a dumpster. I'm not hyperbolizing. THIS IS SHEER GENIUS

What? Rapture you are such a pseud! This is really quite poor. Yes, the set design looks striking enough, and the full moon, so large in the sky, is also impressive enough in readiness for the closing scene, but Salome's dance is little better than a petulant child's attempt at dancing at her 8th birthday party, and she seems more unsure of herself throughout like a drag-queen at a straight wedding. In fairness, seductive dancing isn't naturally the part of a soprano, and here it shows. Herod's weak, 'Ah! Herrlich', and accompanying lust falls completely short and empty. I find the performance of all the singers and actors in this clip somewhat amateurish, but again, in fairness, there isn't much to judge the whole by. "MASTERPIECE* which makes me feel like I'm back in Ancient Greece," What is all that about? Back in Ancient Greece. Were you there originally?
