Salomon ADV Skin 12 || Unisex vs Women's Fit || Running Vest Review 

So happy to see this one 😊 I hope it helps out people like us who didn’t have nearby places to try them on and have to ‘best guesstimate’ at which vest and size will fit best. For females reference reading this into the future: I am 210lbs, 5 foot 7 inches, 36C bust. I wear mostly women’s size 14 tops and jeans/shorts, and men’s large or women’s XL running clothing. My most comfortable fit was the Salomon 12L women’s size large. On that one the chest straps are about halfway tightened down. I could have made a medium work if I wanted it very very very snug fitting. The XL women’s I could have made work on a pinch but it was just baggy enough to rub & chafe. In the men’s Salomon 12L I fit most comfortably in a medium, but do own a men’s small that I wear sometimes (bought it sight unseen before I tried the women’s vest). It has the straps let out all the way to fit my bust, but sometimes I just like the taller skinny bottles better. The torso length is too long though, it rubs me too much on the back and sides at the bottom of the vest, so I can only wear it with a thicker shirt underneath.

I had the same experience with the straws! I broke out my knife and then my boyfriend, who thought it would be easy. Lol. Finally got the straws adjusted. I have the skin 5 and wish I would have the 12. I think I still will. Thanks for the video and honesty.

This video is great. I just ordered one. As my Ultimate direction vest which I liked kept putting a small hole in my bladder in the back.

Hi. Thanks for the lovely video. I have question. I got an unisex adv skin 12 recently. I used for 5-6 times and hand-washed it with natural soap every time. I noted the “Salomon” logo print on the flask pocket is coming off. Did it happen to yours too? Thanks.

I’ve tried both versions and what made me ditch the women’s version is that they don’t have a version of the flasks with a wide opening. I often use various electrolyte powders and it’s too aggravating trying to put it thru a tiny opening like on the women’s flasks. Wish Salomon would change that.
