Lara Loft aka Lara Trautmann is a German voice actress and Twitch streamer. In Lara Croft - Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara lends her voice to the German Lara. Hence the name. She studied musicals and can therefore sing and act. There is more of her singing at her Fanchanel Lockenwolf.
@@derdox6720 I don't watch the show often, but I've had episodes suggested without her. I'm guessing she's not a permanent member there. My list is not complete either. Because she is a streamer, she appears in the whole scene. But her main job is voice acting.
What always gets me about Saltatio Mortis is how much fun they always seem to be having. Music videos or live shows, you can see they're doing what they love and that passion really comes through
Their singer Alea has such a unique energy on stage, which gives the crowd a very unique energy which goes back to him and the band and back to the crowd. I think you need to feel it at one of their shows to understand :´D. I can't wait to see them on stage again soon.
The reason why so many countries don't send their "good stuff" to Eurovision is that they don't want to win, because winning is expensive as hell. As a winner you have to host the next contest, which costs several millions of €. It has caused TV channels to get into financial troubles several times already. Compared to that the yearly costs for just being part of it is ridiciously low, you basically get the whole big show for free. Unless someone with a lot of influence and an agenda to win takes the reins, they are not even trying - at least once they realize what it actually means to be the winner. There's been plenty of great bands being turned down, Germany alone already turned down bands like Faun and Avantasia in previous years, Eskimo Callboy and Nanowar of Steel are just the newest entries to the list. Even Nightwish didn't make it for Finland - even though they got the most votes from the viewers, the jury just rejected them.
That is actually a misconception. Winning has little to do with the costs. The vast costs of the contest are covered by the EBU (the European Broadcasting Union). Each country payes its dues depending on several factors, including but not limited to population, economic factors and more. The costs are more or less covered by Germany, France, the UK, Italy and Spain. These five countries cover roughly 90 % of the costs each year (which is the reason why they are the so-called "Big Five" and are automatically qualified for the finals), with Germany covering the lions share among the Big Five (Germany covers roughly 35 % of the costs, the UK and France cover roughly 20 % each and Italy and Spain combined cover about 15 %) . All the other countries combined cover only 10 % of the costs. The host country does pay a little bit extra, however assuming that they have to shoulder the burden of all the costs is nonsense. However especially in the case of Germany this makes even less sense - we cover a huge part of the costs no matter what. It should also be mentioned that (pre-pandemic) the song contest has always been a boost to the local economy of the host country because of the large amount of tourists. Regarding the Nightwish situation - that was back in 2000. Nightwish was unknown to the wider audience back then. Yes it is true that the Jury overruled the votte, however simply assuming that the reason for that was an intent to loose on purpose is nonsense. In regards to Electric Callboy...the problem is that here in Germany most radio stations do not play rock music, let alone Metal, because a bunch of people running the show assume that only pop music or Schlager can be popular with the wider audience. The reason why they rejected EC was that in their twisted opinion the band wasn't "radio friendly".
Lara Loft / Lara Trautmann is a great gamer, famous voice dubbing artist, and singer. Her dubbing voice is sxxy as hell. She dubbed all kinds of famous games, cartoons and movies.
First things first, I love the Elder Scrolls series. And I especially like how they keep reusing the theme from TES 3: Morrowind, in my mind one of the most beautiful soundtracks ever created for a game. Second, nanowar of Steel did apply for San Marino and didn't go through, so I think like in Germany, they do their best to keep metal out of the ESC in those countries. And third, and most important, Saltatio Mortis killed it another time with this song, that is probably one of the most covered game songs in gaming history. By the way, other bands did collaborate with game publishers to be in the game. In Extremo performed in Gothic and Blind Guardian did perform in Sacred 2. So I wouldn't wonder at all if at any point in history Saltatio Mortis got an invitation to do something similar. They already did a co-op with the King's Bounty series, but I don't think they wrote a song for it or appeared in the game.
If you enjoyed this, you might enjoy some of Malukah's Skyrim / Elder Scrolls content. Her Skyrim fans liked her covers so much they successfully petitioned to have her made a Bard in Elder Scrolls online. ( She really does sound Bard-like. She performs with a Lute made for the Skyrim anniversary remake ) Peter Hollens does some covers with her and some solo ones. His collaboration on the Skyrim theme with violinist Lindsey Sterliing is epic.
The San Marino joke was great lmao. Also great reaction, glad you guys loved it as much as I did, I hope they do more songs inspired by videogames. And I suddenly have the urge to start a new character on skyrim lol
These guys are the best Medivial Rock Band in Germany. You have to check out all the other awesome songs. Lara Loft is an amazing Singer in Germany too. Saltatio Mortis makes they musicvideos by themselves.
For example: In the Game Sacred 2 the Band Blind Guardian Made the whole Soundtrack. Title Song was Sacred Worlds... Maybe you listen to it too... Greetings from Germany
Great reaction as always.👍🤩 (To this moment there is no possibility that they could join the ESC. Not even for San Marino. There are many rules. One is: just 6 persons on the stage, SM are already 7 plus Lara Loft; another says: it's not aloud that the song is longer than 3 min)
Well, companies are hiring big names from the music scene for the soundtracks. Assassins Creed Valhalla has Einar Selvik from Wardruna working on it, and Hellblade 2 soundtrack is by Heilung.
Your reaction was amazing and I hope they could get you to give Skyrim a second chance ♥ Lara Loft is amazing talented. She did the German voice of the Doll in Resident Evil Village and it was beyond awesome. And I'm a bit confused that you said Skyrim is only first person because I always play in third person 😅
I like both, Lara and Saltatio but this song is even better in the classic version, by Sabina Zweiacker and the swedish Symphony orchestra. Ps. you can switch between 3rd and 1st Person in Skyrim.
I am always torn when you call Saltatio Mortis "Santino Marella"... because on the one hand, Santino was a bad joke that leaves a bad taste.. on the other hand he was a madly talented wrestler, despite his sucky gimmick.
Well, he was completely over with the audience with this gimmick, so I wouldn't call it sucky. And who knows if he would have made it with his former Boris Alexiev gimmick or if they would have just made him into another "evil russian". He was undeniably and extremely talented, but so is a lot of talent that they fired over the years. Just to illustrate that point, in WWE he has won more titles than Dean Malenko, and that guy was one of the best technical wrestlers of all time. And yet, they completely forgot about him when they elevated Benoit and Guerrero to the highest of heights
If you haven´t played at least "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" it´s really hard to get into the whole Game-experience of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim"... It is of course a great game. Even after 10 years, but to understand the depth of the whole story, you should at least have played "Oblivion" and even better also "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind" Also great and very Huge games.
If you had a problem with Skyrim, you could as well try Gothic ;-) Not only in matter of gameplay similarites , but also that another folk band was involved.
Ehhh....maybe you should try Skyrim again if the First Person is what bugged you - you can play Skyrim in Third Person as well, you're not locked into First Person.
well it's still metal, so it isn't mainstream exactly. Still even the people that aren't into that music mostly appreciate their artistry. So in my mind, there are basically two groups of people that actively dislike the band: the metal elitists who can't stand commercial success with a metal band (and with 4 no #1-albums in a row, they are quite successful here), and the other group being right wing nutjobs. Saltatio Mortis have been a very political left-leaning band from the beginning and have a firm stance against any form of right wing extremism and are also very critical about capitalism. Songs like "Besorgter Bürger" (concerned citizen) , referring to racist people only pretending to be concerned about the fugitive influx in 2015 to spread their nazi agenda, or "Wachstum über alles" ([economic] growth above all), that went so far as to use the German National anthem (and in fact, they did hint at the 1st stance, the one that is forbidden to sing because of it's connection to the Nazis) to make a point about the monster that capitalism is; those songs certainly made them a few enemies.
By the way, just out of interest. Aren't you into the RPG genre in general or was it just something with this game? Because Assassin's Creed is more like an action adventure, so expecting Skyrim to behave like this will most certainly leave you dissapointed. On the other hand, this basically goes for any other RPG out there, so that's where I'm coming from with my question.
I am into RPG I just didn't connect with the game, plus I don't like first person games. I actually hate them, so that plays a role in my gaming choices.
@@APREACTS So you dont play any shooter games? No Doom, nothing? 😐 For me its the opposite. I dont like 3rd person. I especially hate 3rd person in car racing games..
How on Earth could you hate Skyrim??!!! It's only one of the greatest games ever made. Perhaps you'd get into it more once you get past all the opening sequences and get used to the game mechanics.
I really don´t know....how do I say this...How the hell do you pronounce the band name? Saltatio Mortis! Not "Santina Morella"! Saltatio Mortis is Latin, it is spoken as it is written. Gosh....this hurts my ears...
