Let’s all watch 3:30 closely: in these kinda things, losing can be annoying and frustrating but that simple fist bump makes a difference. He’s not really salty more just mad ya know? I think it’s great he did that
Honestly, it looked like he was just upset with himself and not salty. Honestly an understandable and kind of respectable reaction (especially when compared to these other clips)
I see that sometimes in these. I'll never be annoyed by someone expressing sadness or frustration as long as they're not disruptive or directly disrespectful. Play your game however you play, just don't distract other competitors. K9 was perfectly within his rights here.
@FiveByFive I agree that "the its only a game, bro" argument doesn't really fly here, since like you said it's hundreds of hours of practice to get at that level, there's money involved, some of this guys do it for a Living, ect. What I'm getting at is that they are pros, upset doesn't begin to cover what they feel. But at the same time, if you are a pro you should be able to act professionally. I get it, a lot of work went into this moment, you came up short, it sucks; but throwing a tantrum ain't gonna make things better. Hats off to k9 keeping it as cool as he did tho, specially given his history he's come a long way
if someone was that annoyed or frustrated should i say "good game, you did well tho" (is this more "toxic" if i do this) or should i just fist bump just like what he did in the video?
Hella respect for guy at 3:10. Handled it like champ. Didn't rage, didn't run away. He may have been disappointed as hell but he just sat there and said good game. Good stuff.
Yeah, I was about to say that clip doesn't belong in this video. Being disappointed that you lost a tournament on the last stock is completely different from acting salty & screaming/not fist-bumping/throwing your controller. This channel seems like they pad for time in a lot of videos
Yo, respect to k9 for the self control. We all feel that frustration sometimes and he has frankly transformed the way he handles it. He's a good player and I can only see him getting better if he keeps up this self control.
@ You've certainly got a point. Having said that, neither of us knows how deep rooted his anger issues are and it's an improvement for sure. Either way, we're sitting here watching people act like children for our entertainment so we can't be much better.
Tnail12 lol probably assuming because tournaments would warn him that he’d be kicked out if he didn’t stop raging. Out of all the videos of K9 out there, I can’t imagine that at least one tournament wouldn’t threaten to disqualify him or ban him.
@@Serennekin It's more the fact that he's actually reflected on how he acted and took steps to cope and fix the problem. Pretty sure he even released a video series on how he copes with it and methods to fix it. That's alot of effort to change yourself so I give him nothing but respect moving forward
I absolutely refuse to throw my Joycons at any given moment. Worst case scenario, put them down, and flex every muscle in your body until you're tired/good (also that is kind of hard to do for me for more than 10 seconds, so antidotally it works for me).
Barry Soetoro yeah I learned the hard way. Broke my left joy con controller last week. Now I gotta get a new one for like 40-50 dollars. Never raging again.
@@hazm2652 I don't know about that. In CaptainZack's mind he was consenting to the situation (regardless of whether he legally could) and it wouldn't make sense for him to be uncomfortable.
Doesn't salt come from salt as in if you've ever had tears go in your mouth it tastes salty? So it can mean angry or sad? So if anything it means actually more when you're sad than angry?
@@geoversion2975 hes a fucking ganon foghting a lucas that used pk freeze 3 times, the jump was buffered from mashing, he couldnt have survive if he airdodged, and was still in range for the pk freeze if he rolled out
I’m assuming that wasn’t the first match they played and the wolf probably died in a similar way multiple times before. So when it happened again this match, the wolf was already done. Still not an excuse to ragequit after the first stock though.
4:01 Who would've thought this loss in March 2019 is what drove Captain "sociopath" Zack into forcing Ally to collude loses against Zackray(in April) & Nairo(in May).
@@elijoy2585 captain Zack is a bad person that molested two older men, at least one against their will (nairo), and used that against them to blackmail them into throwing games against him and giving him hush money
Ganondorf is also very annoying to play against. People say he's slow as fuck as a justification for his enormous strength, but that is not true. His tilts and air attacks are pretty fast, and deal 20% each. The only aspect he lacks of is recovery.
Can we just stick to how ness and Luacas are bloody annoying. That whole PK freeze was so heavily abused during the online time, I swear there was people actually disconnecting before the game even start.
I would say the guy who was playing rob vs paletine was the least salty. He hit the table but then said yo my bad and said sorry. I think he was not salty just kinda like that was close man fuck. but thats my opinion.
@@TeamSakurasou still disruptive. he caught himself which is good but you can't be doing shit like that. face palming when you lose its completely within your rights
Yeah I have to I used to get mad just like him. People lose their cool sometimes and get frustrated and say some pretty nasty stuff. This behavior i think is justifiable but it has to be explained in great detail.
I feel ya bro. Watching these clips made me happy that I'm not getting so upset over just a video game like these grown men do. Getting older and having better control over ourselves is a truly freeing feeling :-)
@@Thunderbolt-jy2nn yeah I've been to smash tournament and it did have a lot of awkward people. Everyone there even thought some dude was on adderall and when some little kid beat him at the end, everyone went sick
Hell yea, hey I'm pretty sure ANYONE reacts that way after losing a very close match, I know I have because it's either a very satisfying win or a heartbreaking loss, but I'm always quick to congratulate my opponent for the good match as K9 did here. The other ones with players raging, not shaking hands, shattering controllers and hitting walls on the other hand are completely childish and pathetic.
I agree that wasnt bad, but K9's popular for being an enormous rager. Unintentionally threw water all over a spectator once in a blind rage. Glad to see he's calming it down a bit.
Reid Fisher ally was recently discovered to have been in a relationship with a minor Edit:there was something else about blackmail but I can’t remember what exactly
Have none of these players heard of the saying "It ain't over 'till it's over?" Seriously, throwing the *whole match* just because you lost *one* stock is just ridiculous and stupid. There is always that small possibility of a comeback, and you've gotta cling onto that like hell or you won't stand a chance. Patience and self-control is what sets real pros from children. Having anger issues can constantly have the person make hasty and bad decisions. Whether it be throwing the match, or screwing with his focus mid-match.
I understand what you are saying and I agree, but a lot of players spend a lot of time in tournaments and spending that much time in the game can get to you, maybe you are not having a good day and need time to reflect, playing so much IS mentally tiring, so there is some reasoning behind it.
@@RickATC No, I was not having a bad day. But looking back on it, I can see that what my comment is easier said than done. Spending hours and hours training only for it to be in vain is just the worst feeling. I may have been a little overboard with my comment. However, for players who have been in the field for years, I stand by my point. They need to learn that the match isn't over until the announcer shouts "GAME!"
@@naru2k4 When I said "maybe you are not having a good day and need time to reflect" I was referring to the players and their situations not you specifically, sorry if I didn't get my message across very well. Also, as I said I agree with you when you say that people need to learn how to control their emotions, but I was just giving some points as to why these people may feel how they feel.
@@RickATC Oh, whoops. And yeah, I get what you're saying. There are definitely plenty of factors that add up to the end result of throwing their controller.
@@naru2k4 to add on to what that guy said, it's also not just the single stock at face value. It's also everything that led up to that final moment of frustration, for example I'm the type of person that still takes it serious even if im at 200% and 2 stocks down hoping to get some good edgeguards. But theres a ness player I know locally and I dont play him at all, I could play adapt and beat him but honestly it's so annoying that I wouldn't even feel satisfied if I won, so why go through the headache.
4:00 watching this battle in. 25 speed just makes me appreciate that big brain move even more. Dive attacks dude to knock him to the right, and lays the c4 at the end of the roll 😳 Such a slick, slick play. Mad respect.
Dan Le umm you do realize that captain Zack didn’t want ally to progress in tounarments he used his matchmaking though blackmailing ally to force ally to lose matches and not progress as far because for him in his own words “I don’t believe ally deserves to be placing well” so no he was mad because he probably thought ally would give him the win but didn’t
When the peach was floating back didn’t he have enough time to land any type of hit, cause that’s insane to quit when peach ain’t even that fast, he only floats back and dude complains of stalling!!?
2:17 I kinda liked that. Guy raged but was just mad about himself it sems. Fistbump. Even hugs the opponent. just a guy with some anger management troubles xD
I'm glad Captain Zack got bodied after that taunt he pulled. The reason why is, that shit he pulled in Smash 4 Bayo Ditto Grand Finals with Lima. Unnecessary stalling and fans paid money to see a good show. So yeah, that jerk deserves to get bodied.
@@mcdonaldshashbrown9326 I'm late, but that's not why. It was because Zack was forcing Ally to fix matches to either hinder him or to boost Zack through brackets.
@@daintyshart I could go on and on about it but here's most of the most infamous reasons - The guy taunts mid-match after nearly every stocks; Taunts IRL; Gets satly as hell when he loses; Majoritarily played the most overpowered character of the game at its time (and fell out of the radar once she got nerfed); Flipped off the crowd at Evo; ponctuates every entrance with a cringey dance (and sometimes leaves with it too instead of shaking the opponent's hand in fairplay). And him and his boyfriend were chit-chatting at the Evo's finals, holding the B-button and voluntarily make the crowd wait in frustration... He's pretty much what Leffen was to Melee, but with Smash 4. Now that his OP character got shot in both knees, he's back in the trash where he belongs. Players unable to be respectful to one another don't deserve to be on stage.
@@freeshavaacadooo1095 can you afford to airdodge that far from stage when you're ganon tho? genuine question, i'm not familiar to ganon's characteristics
@@leinine1834 Definitely, because the PK freeze will still need to fully execute, at that time you can easily recover and ledge grab and assuming the player has decent ledge game, recovery will be a breeze.
@@ClassicGaming7 True, if those two jerks stopped thier weird and not right ways then they would have been forgiven but nooo, they had to stop until they were exposed. at least they stopped dating so perhaps they can be forgiven. still, they've done gross things
