"I was not aware" can sum up most of the cope arguments all these sore losers get. They don't know how the game works. Most of their arguments just boil down to either ignorance or "you only won because of [legitimate game mechanic]".

Give him credit where it’s due, he’s learning. Slowly, yes, but he IS learning. Many of us started as those guys who think legendaries are auto win if you give them enough strong moves, before we realized there are more ways to play than just full firepower

This is the perfect example of someone, probably young, who is definitely about to find out what status moves can actually do (outside of Toxic - at least they knew Toxic! ... just unfortunately not Magic Guard). Also ironically, someone who might learn to appreciate Excadrill.

i mean, i can see why because their the most effective against the clefable currently, zacian is asleep, falinks,gardevoir and cinderace probs couldnt do sh%t, and then only duraludon and eternatus has type advantage on it

also since the gardevour used it twice, i suspect a choice specs because on paper it does more dmage

@@francisharkins I didn't think to say stat boosts, but since this set needs magic guard to work efficiently, I suppose that works as well. Also yes there is many more things you could use like unaware, ground types or magic bounce, but it is becoming long winded.

@@spindash64 Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow Guarantees a OHKO on a Fully Defensive Uxie and last time I checked Uxie can't learn Moonblast. And in the scenario where someone leads with a Clefable in a Cosmic Power set(highly unlikely) he could have just switched out. At which point he'd have seen that the Clefable doesn't have Moonblast on it as the moveset is basically Cosmic Power, Stored Power, Soft Boiled, Charge Beam. Urshifu checks this hard

yup definitely, Unaware Clefable would be more resistance since it ignores its opponet's buff and debuff except for speed, but if marshadow had toxic then unaware clefable had to cure itself with aromathery or he/she's toast but if clefable can do chip damage on 1V1 battle againts Marshadow, clefable might win because i dont think that Marshadow got any recovery moves except for drain punch but in a full battle when spectral thief and toxic on clefable you could switch on a heavy hitter like Zacian or Black kyurem and using Behemoth blade or Iron head and that will OHKO clefable before it can get ready to use cosmic power, black Kyurem may not neccesarily OHKO unaware clefable but it will lead to red health so clefable wont have a chance to recover fast enough to get bulky

Actually marsh is faster, so every marshadow work even without sash Taunt is also a thing thzt destroy this team.

I mean, ironically most legendaries could easily beat these setups (depending on type, etc...) but because they're inherently powerful people default to no/low strategy I remember a Zacian I had that's nature & IV's gave it extremely high SpD & Att. Still wasn't invincible with no strategy, but carried hard nonetheless

Probably the larger issue is the Story for pretty all, if not most, of the game's is so braindead simple that you can ignore 90% of the mechanics & still beat the E4. Or, as the case may be, get a lucky spawn with good IV's, probably without even realizing what that means, & then get carried with even less issue TLDR: Probably should hit the Bulbapedia for a study session before jumping into any Pokemon MP, lol

Here's the full explanation: Uxie - Reflect and Light Screen set up to help Clefable set up her buffing phase. Yawn usually caused an enemy switch to avoid sleeping, but they may also stay in to go asleep, buying more time. Memento for a free switch and to encourage the enemy to do another switch but if they stay in, they can hardly cause any damage. Clefable - Magic Guard ability renders it immune to damage from everything other than direct attacks. Toxic, Stealth Rock and other such things have no effect. Cosmic Power increases both defence stats, so getting this to max is important to tank after dual screens disappear. Charge Beam helps boost Special Attack for more damage. Stored Power is the heavy hitter, which gains power the more stat ups the user has. With +6 Def, SpDef and SpA, this hits a base power of 360. Soft-boiled is self-explanatory healing. Don't know the exact EV spread but Clefable is definitely built more for taking hits, since the killing power comes from surviving long enough to get the stat buffs.

Honestly he probably would have told him the set and given him tips if he was less toxic. I mean its one thing when your being toxic in chat and then another when you just go "aw man, GG, but what is that set and are there counters?" Then again I don't know if he would share or not, but probably wouldn't have put the kid down so bad if he wasn't toxic. Its kinda sad the first guy had the tools to counter if he played smart. Could have also countered Clefable with Encore and then try to inflict a sleep status on it. Thats what I'd do anyway... or at least mandatory bring a good dark type that isn't a hyper predictable legendary/mythical pokemon.

@@francisharkins krookodile or even Sandile would have beaten this clefable because it only has stored power and charge beam as attacking moves which a dark/ground type is completely immune to.

If i am understanding your wording right, you are using "classic" as "original" while he is using it as referring to the Classic Sonic version of city escape from generations(City Escape Act 1). @@franceswynn8582 Since minimize is banned in most metas I play, I mostly have to worry about having at least 2 moves that can do enough damage to wallbreak or outlast unaware clef and something else that can either outboost magic guard clef or wallbreak it. If you can't answer Clef, you're chances of losing are pretty high.

Thats nothing 2 Fell Stinger, a 50bp Bug move that raises Atk by 3 if it takes out a Pokemon

If the shedinja doesn't have sword dance or knock off though it won't be able out damage the leftovers. Eventually the clefable runs out of pp and struggles, killing the shedinja. Although if you send out the shedinja first the struggles against the other 3-5 mons will kill itself with recoil or won't do enough damage to stop a Setter

Clefable has ability magic guard, which means it can only take damage from direct attacks. No toxic, no burn damage, No leech seed, no whirlpool, etc. Only damage from attacks directed at the pokemon with magic guard

His rate in NDAG is sub-35%. He loses to competent players but n00bs and 10 year olds make great content when they can't comprehend how cover art isn't autowin

Magic guard ability prevents damage from any source that isn't directly attacking, includes: Status effects, Nightnare, Stealth Rocks, etc

Clawitzer is my favorite pokemon, I run mine assault vested with Scald, Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, and Dragon Pulse. It hits like a truck and the Special Defense boost is really nice when can also get a burn from scald.

@@sweetmemes7977 yes and let's not forget that sweet sweet ability. nobody sees it coming and when they do it's too late. also water pulses STAB and x1.2 deals alot of dmg
