Pokemon's all about bonds between friends and working hard training for a goal, it's fanbase has a large amount of these salty gloating types. Certain DragonBall fans will argue endlessly over who's got a bigger power level, Levels being put in the series to show that you can't just measure someone's worth at face value. Certain YGO players will focus on the super optimal current meta despite the series having a theme of your deck is an extension of yourself. The list goes on.

@@tf2addict Just use strategy. Make your team well rounded. Engage in strats that involve more than clicking swords dance and using ESpeed. Basically, try new things that interest you. That’s the whole point of showdown, to try cool Pokémon strats out without having to spend an eternity EV training and breeding to do so. Don’t just do the same sort of thing.

@@vee8101 His plans entirety is. It's a move only a legendary can learn. So it MUST be better. It HAS to be. Because it's a LEGENDARY, therefore it IS a good pokemon.

@@blakksheep736It puts the opponent to sleep. In double battles it puts both opponents to sleep. Unfortunately it has 50% instead of 80% accuracy after being savagely nerfed by Gamefreak. Hence Hypnosis which has 60% accuracy ends being better in single battles.

@@blakksheep736 It puts you to sleep, before gen 7 it was 80% accurate, but because of how Smeargle abused it in competitive tournaments, it got butchered to just 50%. Not because Darkrai abused it, but because Smeargle did.

I mean, behemoth blade is a steel move so therefore EVEN when the vaporeon is dynamaxed, it'll not get 1shot anyway

Toxapex and Blissey would also be key to defeat this team. Block the evoboost, toxic and wall Vaporeon. Blissey would deal with the special attackers while Tox would beat the physical. The other 4 legendary pokemon would be the damage… but no gotta rely on Serene Grace flinch hax and 50% Dark Void sleep shenanigans.

Expecting this skidmark to use anything other than legendaries is completely unrealistic.

@@DemonVermin Only way I see nerfed Dark Void being viable over Hypnosis, is if your strat involves sleeping both targets in a Double Battle, and even then that strat isn't that reliable, as you'd need the 50% accuracy Move check twice to sleep both targets at once

You know stored power bypasses unaware just by the base power of the move getting insane. Baton pass is one of those strategies that you really need to prepare for.

Most or all of his builds are in the descriptions of these videos. It's not the same as understanding good team comp and building it yourself, but it is pretty neat that you can copy them. Learning optimal pokemon team building is hard when there are so many pokemon, moves, and mechanics.

It comes with time playing the game. I've played Pokemon casually since the beginning but got competitive when gen 4 and WiFi allowed you to battle online against anyone. I setup a RU-vid channel between gen 4 and the start of gen 7. It was only midway through Gen 6 (ORAS) that I could call myself a good team builder. I only play casually now still, but my takeaways for team building are pretty simple. 1. Find a playstyle or Pokemon that YOU want to build a team around. Keyword is you. If you're not invested or excited with the team you're playing, you're unconsciously not going to be playing more disinterested and thus more liable to make mistakes. I spent gen 4 and 5 more or less shuffling through 6 Overused with the occasional Underused and although I was winning a fair amount of the time I never really clicked with the playstyles I was using. Once you've found that, build them team around it. 2. Once you've built it, look for any obvious weaknesses. Not just against specific typing or pokemon, but also strategies. As an example, if you have no priority moves and you're a using a glass cannon team, Trick Room teams could smash right through you. 3. Once you've ironed out your team for obvious weaknesses. Test the hell out of it. It's only after testing you will find the subtle weaknesses that good players will exploit. 4. Have a plan. You will always find specific matchups or pokemon to be a pain, no matter what team you're rocking. What's important is having an idea how you're going to play against it from the outset, and only adjust it when necessary.

@@superbr0ws015 Thanks for the tips, it is greatly appreciated. I've been playing since gen 3 (2003), ever since competitive play was introduced in gen 4 my teams always flopped hard. I mostly built teams around swampert since he was my first starter, but I switched to lopunny when megas were introduced. Still had no luck in the mega and z-move eras. Gonna try out your advice in brilliant diamond with swampert.

I just found a team online and modified it a bit.

@@snakey1315 haven't had the pleasure to try it, I think. If it's anything like angelfood cake (another upside down cake) I'm sure it'd be very cool to have. Cooking some pineapple slices on a pan for a few minutes is a really good food too 😉
