Everyone knew for days, if not weeks, that this hurricane was coming. Why were all these boats still in the water, especially the ones small enough to be trailered?
Not correct. The storm's path moved around a lot. Two days before it was aimed at the Big Bend area of Florida. One day before Tampa. Then it hit us. Had to move boats when you A. Don't live here, and B. don't know where to take it due to the storms uncertain course. You just can't take a sail boat out in the Gulf when there's a storm a couple days away, the seas would be too rough already.
Lifting them boats out of the water with oil and fuel leaking all over the place I don't see one piece of containment to protect the environment anywhere in the water
