This video shows how to correct the OFF mode error you may have on your thermostat. The thermostat does not allow you to press any buttons and does not work.
Thank you for brilliant video, as I lost the manual for it and I found an empty box, it was simple changing the battery in 5 mins. Mine worked back to normal straight away. I'm saved from being robbed by an electrician. Thank you 👌
Hi Mate, Just came across your videos great explanation btw. It was working fine yesterday all of a sudden it is now showing off. I bought fresh new batteries and the off sign is still being displayed. Any chance it could be something else? Appreciate any help / advice you could give me. Cheers.
my rt621 doesn't register a drop in temperature so my boiler hardly ever turns on. is this something that can be sorted or is it just faulty? thank you!
British Gas just serviced my boiler, changed batteries on remote, then left! Following day noticed heating not on, turned boiler receiver to AUTO, light just flashes? And I noticed the units are NOT pairing? Working perfectly before the visit? Boiler works on manual over ride, but Thermostat not connecting? Any ideas?? :)
Would anyone know how I can replace the batteries on the Thermostat? It appears to be sealed and I have to unscrew it? But will that effect my insurance or warranty on it?
My Salus st620RF seems to be draining batteries within a couple of days. I'm using Duracell extra long life. The screen says off and then later just goes blank. I've replaced the batteries several times, re paired the thermostat with the receiver and re programmed all that to your fantastic videos. Do I need to buy a thermostat? Should I get a new receiver as well? Just also want to say thank you for your videos, I wouldn't have been able to do any of that without your help!
Annoyingly I have one stuck in the Off state even after a change of batteries - I'd read somewhere that leaving them out for 30min or so for any capacitors to discharge might help but to no avail :/ I've done some probing with a multimeter and can't see any obvious problems - reading 3V+ at the battery and 2.99V after the regulator within the circuit so without a schematic I'm pretty stumped as to why it thinks the battery is still low - might try to jump it off a bench supply - nothing to lose now! Update: Looks like one of the batteries has leaked electrolyte over the PCB which has corroded the tracks, seems terminal :/ Lesson learnt - never leave dead batteries in anything :/ Update 2: Well after some head scratching and perseverance, I figured there was a broken track from the battery as part of the board was running but part wasn't - de-soldering the offending battery holder I found the tiniest break on one track caused by the corrosion and re-joined it with some solder - hey presto it works again although I snapped the coil leads from the radio controlled clock - hoping that finds the time again!
