How admirable! I used to play the violin during my school days, now its been years since I last played. I hope i can one day play again, without financial or physical obstacles in my way. I hope your studies go well ! With practice i am sure you can also eventually play this piece as well 😊

Your age doesn't matter at all. You can start at any time and be as much sucessfull as a younger one.

the older we get, guess what we would start lacking? motivation. Put all your energy in it, let your entire body play the note, feel it with your heart and listen to it with your ears. Use all what God gave you to produce the sound that you'd be happy with. Forget about all what your instructor tells you for a minute. Play one note with a straight bow, back and forth, and smile while doing it, knowing that you're almost there :) keep playing until you hear that note come to life like you "imagined' it. You need to know what you want to hear before you even lay that bow on that string. You can play this and you can even play better if you really wished for it. and by the way 50 is still young. do it and post it on RU-vid for everyone to see. I'm cheering for you.

No music is better or worse than others. You and I might think this piece is beautiful but someone else might disagree and that's perfectly valid. It doesn't mean "SoCiEtY iS dEvOlViNg" just because the type of music you like isn't as popular as other styles of music.

Please explain to me how Cardi B's music carries a positivie or at least valuable message for society. Is perfectly fine for ppl to choose what they like, but I agree in that they pick the most detrimental msg for society, and that reflects in contemporary behaviors.

It would be utterly embarrassing for the cheap seats to engage pop after experiencing this level of grace and beauty.

Over the past 5 years I have often gone to see the San Francisco Symphony, and noticed that most of the violinists and violists there similarly use arm vibrato. I guess I should look a number of soloists to see what they use.
